    Very interesting observation.

I think there is a very high chance that it will work - the pinout is the same between the PSOC devices. The PSOC is just a programmable 8051 or Cortex M0 / M0+, etc. micro with embedded fpga like fabric. The internal firmware defines the function and pinout.

Give it a try and do update this thread. Fairly sure that it will work.

I don't think it will matter since you are not debugging the firmware. The developer will use the pin to debug their firmware code - to trace and monitor in the internal working registers, etc. of the microcontroller.

The reset pin is likely still not an issue as the internal device will feature multiple resets including a power on reset. This reset is an additional and external reset.

I would give it a try as the parts are so so so close to each other.

Guide to transplant MEC1503 EC chip and EEPROM reprogamming for T14s gen 2 and X13 gen 2
          by acedogblast
This is a guide that I am writing for helping others to replace their MEC1503 EC chip if it breaks (or to get around an inconvenient prompt to the BIOS). This forum has been extremely helpful to me so I would like to contribute to help others. I will tell you right now that this task is very difficult to do. You MUST have experience and tools to do precision micro-soldering, BGA reballing, trace repair, and general laptop repair skills.

There are some specialty tools needed to do this task. The replacement MEC1503 chips can be acquired from Aliexpress. Do not buy the bare chips as...

[Macbook pro A1708] [Boot loop] [Trackpad ?]
          by No Lan
          Hey everyone,

Usually, I'm not the type to ask for help, but this time, I'm calling on your wisdom and expertise I've seen what this community can do, so I'm pretty sure you guys can help me out.

Here's the deal: I noticed my MacBook got stuck in a boot loop. After opening it up and doing some initial troubleshooting, I found that the boot loop stops only when the trackpad is unplugged.

Now, just so you know, the trackpad actually works — I tested it with another motherboard and it's all good. Same for the cable, no issues there. The problem is only...

Apple Macbook Air M1 A2337 Trackpad problem
          by Skrndelj
          Hello all,

          I am repairing a Macbook A2337 and i have a problem
The Macbook is stuck in restore as someone before me tried a DFU restore and bricked the device, now i can't do a restore as AC2 throws error 1 which is related to the trackpad.
When i turn on the device i get the trackpad click for a few moments and then nothing, i tried 7 trackpads and 7 trackpad flats, i know all 7 are functioning okay, especially one as i use it for testing and DFU restore.
I inspected the whole board and everything seems fine.
Can anyone help me as i didn't fiddle with trackpad...

MacBook Pro 14". The screen DP chip failed.
          by SSBDADC234

When replacing the screen of this MacBook model, the DP855A chip must be moved from the existing screen for the screen to operate properly.
However, when I removed the DP855A chip from the existing screen, I must have done something wrong and the chip broke.
Testing the chip pins with a multimeter revealed a short circuit inside the chip.
Is it impossible to repair this? I couldn't find a programmer for this chip, nor any eeprom programmer software....

MacBook Air M2 A2681 no Trackpad
          by rynr
          Hello,
I have been following the posts in the forum for some time now and have learned a lot. I would first like to thank you for this and hope that it will continue for a long time.

I received the MacBook in DFU. The recovery always failed with error 1. After some search, I was able to find a defective inductor (LT202).
After replacing the component, I was able to successfully complete the DFU restore. Unfortunately, the trackpad and keyboard where still without function.

So i measured all voltages and diodereadings on the JT400 connector. ...
