HP 15-BW la-e831p vga problem.

Hello techs,

I have the la-e831p rev 2.0 DISCRETE (216-0864032-AM972PADY44AB) and I have problem with the vga and the vram's.
I want to disable the vga and to make the MB uma, la-e831p rev 1.0 UMA.

Any info how to do that? I don't have the schem to check it.

Try removing GPU power coils.

I removed the coils and then no signal ... probably takes feedback from coils or something like that ....
I attached the 3 coils which I remove.

I think removing those 3 coils will make it UMA(LA-E801P, uma works by removing these 3 coils). The board looks very similar to LA-E801P and only the platform differs-INtel Vs AMD. Are you sure where problem is not somewhere else??

I found the same board "UMA" and I found some different's, in red circle "QOD1 and QOD2". I removed the 3 coils and put the "QOD1 and QOD2" from other damaged mobo. No signal.
Now I'm looking for schematic.

What is your problem?? Turning on but no display?? If yes, then post measurements on all coils.

Any one still looking for dis to uma conversion on La-e831p board here s what you need to do . first disconnect pjv1 and pjw1 . then move the resister as in the photo. thats all you need to do ( you can remove or keep pwm ic coils or mosfets ) .
