    Lenovo 320 NM-b241 memory issue.

    NM-b241 don't Power on completely , just 0.160 amp .

    On board Ram

After taken some measurements , followig the power sequence PG47 , i reach only step 7...didn't find anything about step 8...at step 9 SUSP# is 0v ( enable signal for many steps )

i find too that PL501 is short to GND = 0.006 ohm ...so my suspecion go straight to this 4 little Samsung Semiconductor..

When i open this jumper PJ507 (= +1.2V ) the short is not from PU500..the consumption go to 0.950 amp than the lap is off .

So , i disable the ON BOARD RAM by shifting this 2 resistors :

    RC1634 to RC1631
    RC1635 to RC1632

After Closing the jumber PJ507 the short still there.

Don't want to remove this 4 little ram , is there anyway to confirm that the short is not from this 4 little ram !

    Thank you

Lenovo Ideapad 5 15ARE05 startup issue
      by db80
      Hello friends,

I've been racking my brain over the past few months on the following issue:
I have a Lenovo Ideapad 5 15ARE05 laptop that basically works fine as long it starts up at all.

If you shut it down, often you hear the HDD still spinning and the Power LED remains on, it only shuts down if you force it (pressing the power button for like 15 seconds).
Then, if you want to Switch it on, nothing happens, only the Power LED lights on, nothing else. If you leave it, then after like 30-60mins it turns on itself.
I tried all the common alleged „fixes“...

Need help pinpointing my short on this board (Lenovo) NM-D351
      by survivalbloke
This is a Lenovo Thinkpad P15s Gen 2 with a board NM-D351. I'm having trouble finding my dead short to ground. I have the area narrowed down after much probing. You'll see in the boardview, there are two coils involved. I removed those coils and verified that that short is not on the mosfet side of those coils. . You'll see an arrangement on both sides of the board of 5 caps and one smaller one to the side. I have removed ALL 12 of these small caps and still have the short. Prior to that I injected at those caps with 1v5a and the short was only drawing 800ma so I could not see anything on thermal....

Lenovo P43s won't boot with internal battery connected – looking for help diagnosing battery issue
      by code share
      Hi everyone,

I'm having an issue with my Lenovo ThinkPad P43s. The laptop does not power on when the internal battery is connected, but it works fine on AC power alone (battery disconnected). Once the battery is reconnected, the system becomes completely unresponsive — no lights, no fan spin, nothing.

Here's what I've tried so far:
      • Power/EC reset (held power button for 60 seconds with battery and AC disconnected)
      • Booted successfully on AC power only with the battery disconnected
      • Visual inspection of the battery — no swelling, burn marks, or connector damage

      Lenovo Thinkpad E15 G1 Gen 1 Short
      by cheebster
Hello Badcaps, got a Lenovo Thinkpad E15 G1 Gen 1 NM-C421 with a short i've found on a mosfet. When plugging the USB-C meter, it cycles 20V-off-20v-off. On mosfet PQ1102 i see a short a 12ohm to gnd resistance. Removed the mosfet, measuring on the board gives same result. Checking on a previous post i saw this schematic picture, but not sure if what i'm seeing is normal and what would be the proper tests to do from here. Not an expert by any means by trying to learn. Thanks...

      Lenovo ideapad 3 15IL05 - ram issue
      by Nagyesz
      Hi all,
I've encountered an issue I've never experienced before..

The Lenovo works perfectly, it has 4gb soldered ram and an additional slot. With just the 4gb the laptop passes all tests, everything is working. However no matter what frequency or capacity of ram I add to the extra slot the display starts artifacting completely randomly in both in the bios and in win and the only solution is to shut down.

I've inspected the pins of the extra slot with a magnifying and didn't notice anything unusual. I've also tried multiple ram modules, but the issue is the same....
