I need someone to guide me about HP g62 conversion
If you check page 33 where the Kbc ite8582 is. I don't know which resistor to swap or which one to remove. My mentor mcpslig123,lapfix,mons and Co where are you.

Hello, i've never done a conversion to UMA on this model, but I found in this forum, an old post with a step by step picture guide.

      https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showpo...02&postcount=8

It seem a pretty tedious job with no warranty that will work for every G62 boards with discrete graphics.
We can wait for the more expert users to give us their opinion about it, or you can cross check the pictures with the boardview and schematics to see if this job make sense.

(the boardview can be opened with boardviewer 2 beta)

By the way, silly question, if the issue is the graphic chip causing crashes or no display, did you already try to reflow it? You could extend its lifespan if done it correctly.

      Good luck!

As per the schematic attached, SIO is on page22 and its IT8502 and not IT8582. I've attached 2 pics. Atleast one pic should match your mb. Do changes as per the pic which matches ur board. I've not done conversion on this mb ,so cant guarantee about its authenticity. The link given by @speggio91 is for Quanta AX1 and its completely different. However, that guide is tested by me personally to be working.
