HP Pavilion 17 Black Screen Help !

Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum and I'm here to ask you for help with a challenge I set myself. That of repairing my daughter's PC.

The PC is an HP Pavilion 17 series.
    Motherboard: DAOR75MB6C0 REV. C

The failure, the PC screen remains black. The power light is on and the fan is spinning.

Here are the different things that I tested while browsing the internet.

Connecting the PC to an external screen via HDMI, no signal.
Swapping RAM sticks still doesn't work. Change with new ones, same thing.
Test the CMOS battery, it no longer works, replace with a new one. still does not work.
Unplug everything except the power supply, no effect.

I don't know what else to try.

    Thanks for helping me. Cordially.

Since you have done the basic things you can move forward dissemble it and check for any physical damage any components , in the Mob you have BIG GRAY coils you have to test one by one with multimetre see what voltages are missing , may be due to bad BIOS

Check the physical condition of the components seems to me to be a good idea but where to start, are there any components to look at first because at a glance everything seems correct to me but I may be wrong.

Once you're sure it's getting power, check the cable connecting the monitor to the computer. Make sure you have solid connections on both ends. If that doesn't solve the problem, try another cable.

Can you test PL20 and PL21 voltage again because that’s not the correct supply, PL20 must be 3.3V and PL21 5V

tester à nouveau la tension PL20 et PL21 parce que ce n'est pas correcte, PL20 doit être 3,3 V et PL21 doit êrte 5V

Often the problem on this mb with no display is DRAMRST# signal being either zero or pulled low to 0.4v-0.6v. So measure voltage on ram slot pin30 and report back. Your multimeter probe should be sharp and hand not shaky. However, if my observation is correct, your southbridge is faulty.

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

                                          Hello,

YouTube video of the problem encountered: https://youtube.com/shorts/q7TLNv36LUo

I am a pro and I have a problem that I have never seen despite my 7.5 years of experience on my own and my thousands of repairs, on a customer's Dell G3 15 3500.

On this PC I have already changed the complete palmrest because the keyboard was no longer working properly.

I also changed the screen because the PC fell and the screen was broken.

I changed the battery with a new and original battery.

I also had corrosion/oxidation on the...

                                          Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

                                          Hello everyone !

My name is Chris, I am a 30 years old embedded software developer working in the automotive industry. I am really passionate about learning new skills and repairing/crafting stuff. I came around this forum last week with the goal of repairing my faulty gaming laptop, indeed, I was video editing on it when suddenly a black screen popped and never disappeared I bought some stuff to try to repair it and learn as many things as possible about computer repairs but nothing worked so far. When the black screen appeared, my legion 5 pro was connected to my external monitor...

                                          Hello everybody!

To put you in context I recently replaced the battery from my HP Pavilion 15 bc400ns with a used one, everything was going good. The same day, I decided to update the BIOS, everything went good. The thing occurred after I let the battery drain iddling on Windows 11 for the second time to calibrate it that the screen did not turn on again, the computer was on but the screen did not turn, like it would not wake from hibernation. I decided to restart the computer but got no video.

The thing is that I had installed TeamViewer and could log into the computer...
