DELL g3 15 cal53 la-f611p rev:1.0

The laptop was working but after replacing the keyboard it wont display fan spins fast after that it will turn off.. errro light 3 orange 1 white.. It says CMOS FAILUTRE. It has no display I already tried removing the cmos and replace a new one and tried a new ram.

I check the voltage of the JI0B1 pin 11
RTC_VCC is present ,

What to look next?

What are the details of the replacement keyboard ? Using a FPC cable ?

Were the proper # of contacts and pad pitch used for the replacement cable ?

Remove the keyboard and test again.

Post pictures of the original keyboard cable and the replacement keyboard cable to review the contacts of each.

I already remove the board out of the case

the first is the new one the second is the old one, they are the same kb.

Putting the old back has the same behaviour?
Did you remove the battery when changing keyboard?
Does it has an EC that is programmable?

*just saw it has a MEC 1416 (i think non-programmable)

Why was the keyboard replaced,why wasn`t it working and when did it stop working.Did it stop working suddenly after a bios update.

Without the old keyboard plugg same problem.. Do I need the keyboard just to poweron the laptop?

Keyboard wasnt working because some letters are not working.. Before replacing the kb I test it first and everything are working no issue but after changing the keyboard and plugging all the parts it womt display rtc failure error

Did you remove the main battery before trying the new keyboard.Do you have +1.8VALWP

Yes I always do that begire chnaging battery because for safety.

Ill get back tommorow and test all voltages and post what voltages should I test?
