MACBOOK: Basic safety question before injecting voltage

A1707 PPBUS has a partial short to ground @ 50 ohms.
VCORE to ground is 4 ohms.
Between PPBUS and VCORE I get 50 ohms as well.
Is it safe to inject 1-2 volt into PPBUS?

I remember piernov on Logiwiki stating that if PPBUS ohms to ground is LOWER than VCORE ohms to ground it is probably safe to inject small voltage into PPBUS. If it's the same resistance to ground it is not. But what about when PPBUS resistance to ground equals resistance between PPBUS and VCORE eg 50 ohms AND VCORE resistance to ground is lower eg 4 ohms? Is it safe to inject voltage into PPBUS

this machine came to me as DOA and immediately found the issue as a 12v short to ground. Is it okay to inject voltage into that rail or does it have a potential path to the cpu or something?

Apple 820-3662 VCore shorted to ground.

    Hi, Would appreciate some help.
I have an Apple Late 2013 15" A1398 MacBook Pro with Logic Board 820-3662.
Get charger light but no fan spin or chime. No liquid damage.
Found PPBUS and VCORE both shorted to ground. Other rails were ok.
Removed VCORE MOSFETS U7310, U7320 and U7330. Found U7330 was in fact shorted.
With the 3 MOSFETS removed, get PPBUS and fan spin. VCORE is still hard shorted to ground (0 ohms).
Attempted voltage insertion on VCORE to locate short using bench supply set at 1.0 VDC and 4.95 Amps (max current for my...

    Macbook A1466 820-00165 PPBUS Missing
    by Instafixx
Hello, I have a Macbook A1466 80-00165 which is not turning on. It is taking 0 ohms and the PPBUS_G3H is at 0v at F7140.

Tried Injecting 1V but nothing gets hot.
Removed the F7140 fuse and the Pin#2 is still short to ground.

Can anyone suggest where the issue is ?

Canon CanoScan LiDE 400 no power

This USB-C scanner came to me with no signs of life. Upon opening I found a cooked inductor that appeared to be getting +3.3V at one side and nothing at the other. After replacing the inductor I got +3.3V at both sides, but still no signs of life, with the AP1402 power control IC nearby getting hot. On all tries since I get +3.3V at the inductor for about 10 seconds and then it falls to 0V, AP1402 does not heat. I am guessing AP1402 is kaput and I am SOL but is there anything else I can check? All other caps around AP1402 measure only about 10 ohms to ground, none of them get hot

DELL XPS 15 9560 - No VCore, Power Off after few seconds
    by Sephir0th
    Hello Community,

i'm troubleshooting this one since days and actually i'm really lost because i believe i'm Missing the required experience for an issue Like this...

It is a Dell XPS 15 9560, i7-7700HQ, GTX1050 Board Number LA-E331P Rev 1.0, Most similar to LA-C361P so i use this Schematics.

Issue: Starts and shuts Off after a few Seconds. Basic Troubleshooting (Adapter,RAM,BIOS/EC Flash from alisaler) of course already done, which didn't Changed anything.

I have another working Board with i5-7300HQ and GTX1050, with It's Help i can compare...
