whats wrong with the qh128ahig chip, can`t your programmer read it,does your programmer have it in the support list. What model is your programmer, and software. What motherboard, intel or AMD

All bios chip pin 4 is ground irrespective of brand. Are you sure you are reading the correct datasheet?

The TL866cs doesn`t support it.I don`t own a SVOD3 but afaik you can add chips manually. Or,choose a different chip from the list and untick check-id ,such as W25Q128JVSIM https://www.winbond.com/hq/support/d...rch=XM25QH128A
The ch341a supports quite a few XMC chips, with NeoProgrammer and ASProgrammer software.

Maybe.Remember the bios can have important DMI information, do everything you can to try and get a good read.Sure you can use another bios chip, and if there is some DMI missing or a windows key ,then you`re just making another problem, and more work for yourself. If the bios chip really is faulty then yeah, you have no choice.

For someone who need read those chip and only have cheap programmer like ch431, you can use colibri pogrammer. I already test it and working with some board

Winbond 25Q16JWNIG – Asus ROG Strix Scar 18 G814JZ bricked after wrong flash – Need help

                              Hi everyone,

I hope someone can help me.
I have an Asus ROG Strix Scar 18 (G814JZ) laptop with a Winbond 25Q16JWNIG chip on the motherboard.

Unfortunately, I flashed the wrong file (BIOS/EC/other region – I'm honestly not sure anymore), and now the laptop is completely dead: no display, no fan spin, no reaction at all.

I have a CH341A programmer and I'm able to read and write to the chip. However, I'm not sure which software is best (AsProgrammer, NeoProgrammer, etc.) or if there's anything specific I should watch out for.
                              A valid BIOS/EC backup...

Are there any datasheets available for Elna RJG capacitors?
                              by Ady2017
I have a 2007-era Panasonic VHS combo that is full of of Elna RJG capacitors. I am trying to test the capacitors to diagnose the machine and then select replacement capacitors but I can not find any datasheets for them. I did find a Elna catalogue from 2007-2008 but there is no mention of this capacitor series. Where these specially made for Panasonic and so not made available to the public? Any ideas what to find out what the ESR values should be without the datasheets? They are all between 10V and 50V and 47uF and 1800uF. None are leaking or bulged but I know that they need to be tested to be...

Is it no harm to replace with capacitor without ripple current rating?
                              by chth96
When I tried to repair LG 29 inch CRT TV, I found that the ESR value of samyoung SMS capacitor(160v 2.2uf), which is very close to D1879 transistor, is 6 ohm.

Judging from above ESR Meter Table,I think It is necessary to replace this sms capacitor. So I visited local electronics shop, and I purchased 160v 2.2uf rubycon YK capacitor.
But when I browse through rubycon YK datasheet,I found that there is no ripple current rating for 160v 2.2uf specification. But On the contrary, I found 39 mA ripple current rating for 160v 2.2uf SMS capacitor.
                              Rubycon YK DataSheet (b...

Opinions/Advice on Do/Should I replace ALL Electrolytic Capacitors on old equipment?
                              by RetroComputingGrotto
I've just been repairing some (very) old speakers with a loud hum that occurred as soon as you powered them on regardless if any actual audio is played through them. I work in a School so it's 99% likey that the Teachers have hardly ever turned the power off on them for well over 10+ years.

As you can see the top large capacitor on the right has a bulge on the top so defincately needs replacing. As the one next to it is exactly the same capacity and voltage I planned to replace them both.

What is your advice/opinion on whether or not on old(er)...

Help with replacing Capacitors on Altec Lansing ATP 3
                              by yuzupatogik
                              Hello,
I have this old (2004?) Altec Lansing ATP3 and i would like to replace the capacitors. I have identified 34 out of the 36 of them as Samxon GR of various capacities and voltages.

I can't find datasheets for the Samxon in any of the following variants:

10000uF 25 v - this one i really want to replace because i suspect it is what causes a dull hum regardless of the volume knob position or if the source is plugged in. I am eyeballing the Rubycon 25PK10000MEFCGC18X35.5 for this purpose. So if i pay a 10x the price part for shipping i might as well go ahead and...
