I have the laptop in question. I would like to repair it thanks to your help.
Symptomology:
The laptop freezes after a few minutes both from the configuration of the bios and from Windows.
-The CPU temperature is high in idle, above 70 ° C and fluctuating, a sign that something is wrong with the CPU.
-The fan seems to be spinning very slow, maybe it doesn't work, but the heatsink remains warm. Perhaps it is the cause that has "cooked" the CPU, but difficult is the cause of the malfunction and the freeze after a few minutes.
-If I press lightly on the CPU (heatsink) the laptop turns off inexorably. In fact, many times the laptop does not turn on and the 3 upper LEDs flash. If you move the main board a little, it turns on normally.
-On the opposite side of the motherboard, behind the CPU, there are several dark halos, from the photos you can see a little.
Anti-economic resolutions:
Replace Motherboard and Cpu.
Feasible Resolutions:
- Shoot hot air in front of and behind the CPU also using a flux gel.
-Reballing CPU.
Computer:
Fujitsu U series laptop, Intel I7 7600U CPU
Everything is very clean, almost new, except those halos under the CPU.
I have the impression and hope that the laptop will survive if the motherboard and cpu are not damaged. I hope that with a reflow I can save it, but I am also willing to spend the money on a reballing.
Thanks to those who can give me some advice and or opinion.
