    Re: Macbook M1 Unlocked!

    Hey

The pic shown is firmware lock

Connect device to a host with Apple configurator get into DFU mode and restore

This will install the OS remove Firmware lock but you will only know if this device is free from ICLOUD or MDM locks when setting up new user space !!

Did someone try to replace volume ssd nand? When activation lock examining volume maybe changing ssd nand can crack activation lock?

Did anyone see the unlock videos where a USB stick with macOS installer (and some other stuff presumably) is put on the Mac?

            Its fake!

Uts not fully secured so the restriction in external boot is disabled..

Its a scam! Thats why it works!

you can buy icloud free number set (you search for serial who show fmi off, then you buy mac adres buetooth and wifi for this serial and then ready) but m1 and t2 serials not the problem for locked!!!
hi dear, i see on macbook m1 2 nand chips , on which nand i can find serial number , i want to remove MDM lock only so please if you can help me with this.

No bypass at all. Hardware and programing. One M1 was unlocked but we do not know how it will hold with updates so be on standby.

In T2 chip you can remove MDM by changing serial number from EEPROM IC but in M1 the serial number inside CPU so the only option is to skip mdm and block connection to apple server. You can try to search on google, there are few posts showing how to do that.

The serial is written to CPU fuses at the factory on M1 and newer. This is write-once memory, there's no changing it once the fuses burn. Only possibilities are finding a way to set Reduced Security without using Startup Security Utility, or finding an iBoot vulnerability in one of the early versions of the firmware. This isn't something an average tinkerer with some soldering skills is going to figure out.

Serial numbers on Apple Silicon work differently than previous generations. The CPU stores its own unique ID in its fuses, which as stated above, cannot physically be changed. This unique ID is associated with a Mac serial number, WiFi MAC address, and BT MAC address on Apple's FDR server. If you insert new, completely blank NANDs into an AS Mac, and DFU restore it, whatever serial set (serial+WiFi+BT) is associated with the CPU ID on the server will be written to a signed blob and stored on the NAND's SysCFG partition. This blob, like SHSH blobs on an iPhone, are unique to the individual device, in this case tied to CPU IDs. The Mac won't boot if the serial blob from another Mac is placed on its NAND, or modified in any way.

There will never be a way around this, other than exploiting the bootloader or finding a way around startup security. This is where my knowledge ends. Startup security may also involve signed blobs or its state is probably stored in an encrypted partition, because I highly doubt Apple is stupid enough to store something that sensitive in an insecure manner.

Is there anyway to figure out what the full email address is of the Apple ID to contact the original owner to possibly remove the activation lock on an M1 MacBook Pro?

                    Dear others,

I have the same question like marc1tc: Would there be any possibility of gaining access to the full email of the previous owner, which partially shown in the Activation Lock window?

Your topic in the General Capacitor Questions & Issues forum is no more. Why post there,i assume it was a mistake.

hello everyone, thanks to the mod for telling me to come here, i've recently seen someone unlock activation locked mac by opening terminal in the language setup screen and typing a command to skip the activation window on mac pro m1 on mac os Monterey, i've contacted them and they were unwilling to share or sell this method, so i've come here to ask you guys for help, i know this method is a key combo just like the one to open finder (CMD+OPTION+CTRL +: ) but i've tried every combo using a python script to generate all possible combos that use the (CMD/CTRL/OPTION/SHIFT/FN) keys + 1 other key, but it didn't work, the only thing i got is CMD+OPTION+CTRL+i which makes the screen go black, so the combo is probably a little more complicated,i would love if you guys here can help, i think together with some trial and error we can probably figure it out, cause this still hasn't went public in over 2+ years, i will post screenshots of the method below but please do not go to the person asking for unlocking services this post is strictly for finding this method and nothing else, please do not contact the person there is no way to know if he'll scam you or not so stay away, the only clues i was able to find is that it's most likely a 5 key combo, probably done on the language selection screen, and based on my testing probably used other/more keys than just the CMD/OPTION/CTR/FN, i thought of using my phone as a rubber ducky and write a script to make it function as HID keyboard and use it to randomly guess the keys until something happens but unfortunately i was unable to get it to work

I get it, it definitely seems fake, but what makes me think it's real is the fact that 3 months before he posted the first video of him getting the terminal open, he posted a video (prolly the first) of him opening finder on the recovery menu titled "one step closer to bypass", that makes me believe this has a decent change of being real, and the fact he isn't willing to sell it also makes it slightly more believable, considering it "allegedly" took 3 months to figure it out when he was testing, I thing it's a specific enough key combination where it's unlikely someone would randomly find it, as I said I tested all the (fn/cmd/optn/Ctrl) keys + 1 other key, and didn't find it,this backups my hypothesis, we have nothing to loose trying, it's been 3 years and none has managed to unlock/bypass a apple silicon machine via software or hardware (other than icloud based methods), definitely worth a shot
