DA0P5DMB8C0 wifi card shows as disabled

    Motherboard: DA0P5DMB8C0
Fail: wifi card does not activate
    Model: HP 15-dy1002la
    wifi card model: AW-NB274NF

    Hello everybody

I have this DA0P5DMB8C0 motherboard, the problem was water damage and I found the 3alw chip failed.

I changed it and the laptop turns on perfectly but the original wifi card does not work, in fact it gets very hot

I have switched with three different wifi cards (realtek and broadcom) and these are recognized in Device Manager, but they do not show available wifi networks, they only show as disabled.

In the bios, the test of the wifi card is shown as passed, I want to know if anyone has experience with this model and if they will only recognize the original card or I go back to check all the electronics.

Thank you very much in advance for your time.

WiFi has been enabled from hardware key right?
You most likely need to use the same card as what was originally in the machine.
As a temporary workaround you can mask the rfkill pin with tape.

There is not wifi enable / disable key and I have installed windows several times

I'm going to find the rfkill pin only for check, that's something new to me

      Thank you Piernov

wifi enable disable may be Airplane mode now
Maybe F12 or Fn+F12 depending on BIOS settings.

Lenovo Yoga 11e BIOS chip swap for wifi card compatibility
          by Guaculo
Hi, i got a Lenovo Yoga 11e that had a bad motherboard. I purchased a replacement motherboard but its a model variation from the original.

Now the new motherboard wont boot with the OEM wifi card. On the lenovo page it says the new motherboard needs a N-7260 wifi card, and the one i have its a AC-7260.

I swapped the 2 bios chip from the old mobo (U40 and U38) to the new one in hopes i could get the wifi card to run, but it wont work, even the serial number stays the same as the new motherboard (the laptop runs fine only this 2 issues).

          Is this information...

Surface Pro 9, i5 version, lost touch on screen after upgrading hard drive, and ISH Power State shows Disabled
          by hotgly
After upgrading the factory 128Gb SSD to a 512Gb WD_Black SN770M, this surface pro lost touch on screen, no touch in windows or in UEFI.
The Human Interface Devices did find touch and stylus but it shows Disabled in windows device manager.
I am not sure if this is a bios problem or hardware problem, already tried reinstall and reset from windows, not working. And now trying to clean/reset the bios.

Computer model is: Surface Pro 9, i5, 8GB memory, 128GB

          by moderator
This is the weird issue I am facing with MacBook Air A1466.. Laptop is booting fine without wifi card.. But when I insert the wifi card then fan spins but there is no display .. and I changed the wifi card and saw.. The issue is the same... And that wifi card I put in another Air... And it's working fine...
Though I changed most of the parts on board related to wifi.. Still the issue is the same.
I changed the bios also and saw ..

          Any help will be appreciated..

Lenovo ThinkPad T430 Wifi card not detected [HARDWARE ISSUE]
          by mr.Data
I have 2 same lenovo laptops and basically checked everything I could think of.

1 of the lenovo's work like it should but the other does not recognize the wifi card.

          - I've tested the switch with continuity mode on the multimeter. works

          - When I turn the switch on the working laptop with the same wifi card, there is a wifi light turned on on the working lenovo, the defect lenovo didn't turn on the wifi LED.

          - Both laptops have 3.3V on the first wifi card pin

          - The defect lenovo does not recognize the wifi card in device...
