That called thermistor is an NTC and is wide used in SMPS as inrush current resistor.
On older designs there was a resistor from bridge rectifier to main capacitor,but since even a little value generate some power loss , they switched to NTC.
When cold have some low ohm value to limit inrush current when connected to main voltage then heat up,resistance decrease to almost 0,no voltage drop across NTC,no power lossLeave a comment:

SPI i was talking about is on Seek camera module.Other side of PCB with LPC chip.

I can't see clear crack on LPC chip,seems to be some v mark scraped or something like a check mark symbol but seems huge.

So you have two USB camera via a USB hub and no one works or get detected?

That GL850G may work fine without EEPROM.
C06AB is some voltage regulator,2.8V or 3.3V maybe.
Can you post some photo of damage?
You say LPC is cracked?
Those chips are pretty resistant vs PCB that is more fragile.
On that board there must be some SPI flash memory,by any chance can you read it and send me dump?Leave a comment:

I have one just with led on charging socket,white without battery and yellow with battery.
Power button get 3.3V and drop to 0 when pressed,but no visible reaction.
After investigation I found one knocked off capacitor on Vcc line of RT3661AB,datasheet say at least 2.2uF,replaced with 10uF
When power button pressed RT3661 get 5V
But missing power on BIOS chip.
Further investigation revealed some corossion on one resistor chip array 4x100K and one of resistor damaged,replaced...Leave a comment:

Pay attention to diffuser sheets order and orientation.
Adapt to your LCD frame.

Where did you get 2.4V instead of 5V with voltage regulator?
Also
Voltage drop C-E on BC557 at 100 mA is in datasheet 0.65V
5V -Vdrop on BC557 = 4.35V
4.35V on 82 + 2 +1 ohms is around 0.051A that is 51mA but since it may be pulsing lab power supply will show some intermediate value.

Advanced is not a real sub menu page.
Just some kind of activator.
Now,after you activate Advanced,check again all menus and submenus maybe more options are available or some grayed out before are accessible.
Advanced needs to be activated each time you enter service menu.
On some models,don't know if on all,there was another command to enter some level of service menu,3speed or something like,found some info on sammygo wiki.

No damage.
7-8V when no load,when something is connected voltage drop to some value and current limited to 400mA.
Let say you short output,depending on cables you may get 0.04V and 400mA even you set 8V output voltage or apply voltage to one 4.7 ohm resistor,current will be limited to 400mA and voltage will drop to 1.8VLeave a comment:

On led only replacement.
Set your bench power supply on CC and depending on led forward voltage to some higher value.Test each led and compare result.
At last if possible power entire strip from bench power supply and increase voltage until leds start to shine check if all looks the same.
So set bench power supply to 400mA and voltage at 7-8V and test each led.
Just doing this now,really,most of leds I see on display show 3.8V at 400mA.
One led dead,0mA,no light.

Same G62 01439 board.
If I remember right some time ago during bios modding I bricked bios.
Try to revive with bootable HP bios recovery stick (unfortunately was one old version) after recovery start result was instant death.
Charger light off and only blinking power button.
I think problem was downgrading EC firmware.
Writing back backups of bios and EC bring it to life again.Leave a comment:
