    Note 10+ charging voltage/current difference

    Hey my dear friends,
    On my Note 10+ charger it's written like on picture I attached.
    So I don't understand,please explain me what voltage is used when charging the phone because here I see 3 different values,and dependant on what?
    Explain me why are 3 different values shown on charger.
    I'd also like to know is this Powerbank okay to use as a portable powerbank for Note 10+ and for my tablet Samsung S5e and which ports on powerbank to use for charging devices?

    Hi. Good question.

    1) The shown power supply is a flexible power supply. The power adapter is able to support PD = power delivery specifications. That is, if the mating computer / phone can also support PD spec, then the 2 devices can 'hand-shake' to agree on the best choice of the power supply value (voltage & current) before starting the charging cycle.

    2) PD is based on power contracts = voltage & current pairs. It is up to the mating product (phone / tablet / computer) to request the power adapter to spit out the list of contracts and then the host computer logic will select the best choice for the charging process.

    For this reason, your power adapter offers what appears to be 2 contracts.

    3) The PPS is yet again a flexible power supply but in this case can support small steps to 'dial up' a better choice of a power rail. That is, for example can select from a starting range to a max range of voltage & current but can be incremented in steps of say 0.1 volts, etc. Some host computing devices like to use oddball values so this PPS spec was created. Again, it is the small step increments that may suit some devices the best.

    4) Almost any charger will charge your device. The question is whether it will be slower or faster than your expected time to charge.

    Which states that your 10+ can charge @ 45W but only if you pair it up with a 45W charger and the mating cable is rated @ 45W.

    The cable is a 'captive cable' as known in the industry so that consumers do not mix it up.

    Best to buy the Samsung branded charger but if you have a vendor claiming the same spec then be sure to pair it up with a 45W rated cable. Then as a package, you should be able to achieve the fast charging support as designed by Samsung.

    As noted, you will be able to charge the device with other chargers but if not with a 45W output, the device will just charge slower.
