    Re: soic clip

If you have the original 5250 SOIC clamps then the quality should be very good and worth using. The clones from Asia are not very good but may be working for you. There are cost differences.

Dozens of laptops? To reflash the bios ? Would the actual process of flashing not consume much more time than just the clamping onto the SOIC on the logic board ?

There are pogo pins that may be of interest but not so sure on the time that will be saved.

I replaced all electrolytics in subwoofer, still get a hum in speakers - audio clip
        by Delicieuxz
I get a faint, low hum through my PC speakers, which connect to the subwoofer in a 2.1 speaker system. The hum drives me crazy and makes me stressed. When I turn off the subwoofer, everything is quiet and I start to relax, lol.

Here's an audio clip of the sound coming from my speakers:

        https://vocaroo.com/16HaryHwTx78

I recorded with my phone's mic right next to the speaker, and the mic picked up a lot of speaker noise over top of the hum. But I don't hear that noise in the room, I just hear the lower-pitched hum that's buried beneath all the other...

correct way to connect bare speaker wires into spring clip terminals?
        by ChaosLegionnaire
i recently bought a logitech z607 surround system. however, its giving me grief. when i first connected it, it only had sound coming from the front right speaker. after a great deal of fiddling and reseating the speaker wires into the spring clip terminals, i finally had sound coming from all 5 satellite speakers.

however, the sound still gets cut off intermittently if i move the speakers, subwoofer or move/touch the speaker wires on the back of the subwoofer. so i wanna ask what is the right way to connect bare speaker wires into spring clip terminals?

        i googled...

        HP EliteBook 640 G6

        Hi all

I hope this is posted in the right section... apologies if its not ;-)

I am really new to this and am hoping to get some advice. I have several HP EliteBooks which are BIOS locked, so thought I would have a go at downloading, unlocking and relashing the BIOS chip/s.

I have bought a USB CH341A programmer, SOIC8 clip and tried using. Rather than 'practising' on a working laptop I thought I would play with an old EliteBook 820 G3 motherboard... and all went perfectly. The firmware download, when I loaded it into RCUnlocker it correctly identifies...
