    HP EliteBook 1030 g2 No power/not charging

    Hi

    Please, I need help in fixing an Elitebook 1030 g2 (x360) with power issues. It doesn't show any power indication when plugged in. No white or amber light.

    Although, on rare occasions, it can just charge and power on.

    I have changed the Charger IC (BQ24780S), no luck

    +19v power rail is active on both charger or battery connected
    +3v/+5v ALWAYS power is present too.

      You need to give measurements of charging IC. AD_ID status?? Have you flashed bios??

          I haven't flashed the BIOS yet, not sure if I can do that with CH341A Programmer

              I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

              Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

              I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

              The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

              With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

              The charging indicator light on my ASUS X54H laptop is always on even when the charger is disconnected.

              Windows also shows ''Plugged in'' when charger is not connected.

              This problem started year ago gradually, when unplugging the charger the charging light took several seconds to disappear, then minutes, and now almost always on even when unplugged for an entire day.
              Strangely, before sometimes immediately when plugging in the charger the charging light went away, and later came back with it connected.
              If I let battery run out and say it has 3% Windows will...

              Hi all!

              I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

              I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.
