I found a HP Laptop. When I plug it in to the adapter it charges but when I press power the LED lights light up, the fan starts for 2 to 3 seconds then shuts off. After looking it up, I've done all the hard resets with and without the battery. I completly disassembled it and heated up the graphics card, dont have a heat gun but read and watched several people put the board in the oven for a few minutes to resolder it. Apparently thats a popular fix. The 3V coin battery was really low so I replaced. But its still shutting off.

Re: HP Pavillion DV6700
Dont waste your time on this crap mb. The gpu there is very well known to fail and all those oven fix wont last for more then 10-20 days. The only solution is to replace the chip but unfortunately the chips sold as so called new are all garbage chips. -
Re: HP Pavillion DV6700
Yeah, I figured I would part it out if the oven didnt work. Just seeing if maybe someone had another suggestion.Comment

Re: HP Pavillion DV6700
Depends on which model exactly it is (as usual full model number is required…). see-ic still has some good fixed G84/G86 GPUs.
If it is an AMD model with a dead MCP67 it's a different story…
Of course you need a BGA rework station to replace it.
Another solution is to the replace the motherboard with an Intel one without dGPU. You need the correct heatsink as well though.OpenBoardView — https://github.com/OpenBoardView/OpenBoardViewComment

NVIDIA GeForce 7150M GPU
Sounds like more money than Id want to put into it just by looking at the rework stations lol. Cant use a soldering iron?Comment

Re: HP Pavillion DV6700
Part number is written on the die of the chip. That's gonna be some variant of the defective MCP67 anyway, which is not available. So the only solution is to replace the board (and heatsink) with one that doesn't have a defective NVidia chip (Intel platform without dGPU).
I don't see how you want to replace a BGA chip with a soldering iron…OpenBoardView — https://github.com/OpenBoardView/OpenBoardViewComment

by nerdmafiaHi first question posting here, but no need to go easy on me!
I have an HP EliteBook 840 G1 non touchscreen. The symptoms are that: Repairing or reinstalling windows freezes no matter how i try it. Live Ubuntu that works on any other computer also freezes while trying to load it. The RAM sticks and the harddrive work fine in other computers. I broke off the connector by accident, CN4750 and was using the laptop for a while with no coin battery. According to this schematic I found on here, which I THINK is the correct schematic, pins 2, 3, and 4 should short to ground, and they do.... -
by Fsufan1391Hello everyone my oven is less than 2 years old and all of a sudden recently when i run the oven for 15 minutes or so and i am done with it and shut it off. after about 10 minutes it starts chiming and randomly putting it in different modes like the touch screen is being touched but no one is around it. I have tried to reset it by unplugging it multiple times and no luck. I took it apart to see the main board and everything looks fine. I am wondering if i should replace the main board or if its in the control panel. the touch screen is very responsive and works like it should. its only acting...

Hi,
I have a 6 years old Rowenta table top oven. The oven have both convection and grill function.
Last Christmas I used it to roast a turkey with the convection mode for about 4 hours without any problem. When I switched to grill mode to deep browning the turkey for the final half hour, the power trips after a while.
I have not been using the oven since then. Last week, when I try to use the oven again, both convection and grill mode trip the power supply a few minutes after turning it on.
As I was too busy with my work, I leave it to the repairman... -
by bpjlHello,
When starting the SEF 551.10 reflow oven, the following problem occurs:
It seems to me that this is related to corrupted software. Does anyone have files that can fix this device? Or maybe someone uses such an oven and is able to make a sector copy of the memory card located in the computer controlling this oven?
PS.: Of course, appropriate emails for help have been sent to the manufacturer and distributor in my country. No response yet, but I don't expect much. It's a fairly old device and from what I know, it's no longer... -
by pc_okayHello friends,
It's been a while ! been quite busy...
I have this board completly short.
A diode (i think is completly burnt) if someone has the same to confirm me that's a diode? and to check the marking..
There is no schematic or boardview for this board.
Please find photos attached.
