    Dell M4800 LA-9772P - No light , no power ?

    Hi to all!

    I have 2 x Motherboards M4800 (1x is LA-9771P which is LVDS cable, and 1x LA - 9772P eDP Cable)

LA - 9771P came, faulty with damaged keyboard port, broken USB etc. almost bend in half , but you could hear the fan spin and lights go on.

LA - 9772P ,bought it from eBay as used some months back, worked like a charm , prime95 and dell diagnostic for hours to see if it's good ,just in case. All went well, so i stored it in the bookself ,until i got the new plastics that i wanted from China.

Yesterday, all came, so i began to assembly , but no reason the LA-9772P, board suddenly didn't post anything ,not even lights, nothing. I removed everything from it, just in case something was making a problem ,but again nothing, only the board + CPU and power button ,but again it's dead.

I made, CMOS, RAM Swap, even Clean BIOS ME from SMDFlea which i found from the forum , even got the BIOS from the LA-9771P and tried just in case nothing.

So i began reading around , and saw the MOSFETs close to the "Power jack" measured and i saw some funny results, so i got the MOSFETS (from the 9771P ) and plugged them into the 9772P ,again nothing not even light .Returned them ,to the 9771P and the 9771P spins.

So, the situation is really frustrated to my knowledge .

The schematics show that the PQ5 / PQ701 ,both are "SI7149DP",but on the chip it self (under the microscope ) i see "MDU6303".

What can result to the sudden death ?It's really strange.

You used the bios from the LA-9771P ,did you clean the ME before you tried it as its come from another machine thats been booted already,so the ME would be initialised (dirty).

What were the funny results ? ,do you mean, no voltage, fluctuating etc . Did you try a different power jack and charger .Is the charger a genuine one. Did the CMOS battery voltage check ok .

To answer in detail your questions.
Yes, but even if the BIOS was going to be dirty , there wasn't not even lights on the board, i mean the plug-in light , without even turning on.
I measured the central line of mosfets all are clear..

(PQ701,PQ5 ,PQ1008,PQ1009,PQ1004,PQ1003 all stable with 19volt etc. )again no sign of life.

      It was really sudden.
Yes, the charger is brand new and too powerfull genuine Dell . 19.5 10.8A
Yes, i have checked the extra small details.

The "old board" 9771P with the same parts, shows lights and fan spin without display ,but as i said, it's really damaged.

The "new board" that suddenly stopped, didn't even show life , nor a sign nor a light . (When some time ago it was working just fine)
      It was really sudden.

Check the PR9 resistor voltage and ALW voltages

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
          by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.

          Dell 2007FPB Yellow Light Problem
          by multimesut
          Hello friends,

A yellow light was flashing on my monitor. It was like it was constantly cutting power. When I opened it up, I saw that the big capacitor in the high voltage line was leaking. I replaced it. When I turned it on for the first time, it had the same problem again. But then, interestingly, it got better. The yellow light was on steady. But the monitor wouldn't turn on. When I examined them with a thermal camera, I saw that the Fli5961-LF reached 50 degrees Celsius and the EM636165TS next to it reached 100 degrees Celsius and was drawing high current on the motherboard....

Dell Latitude 5420 / GDF40 LA-K491P REV 3.0 / Amber / Orange light when power button is pressed
          by zwect
I have this Dell Latitude 5420 with ST: CMF62F3, board GDF40 LA-K491P REV 3.0 that does not power on, i already searched for some clues about this problem that happens on mine but no BIOS i downloaded and flashed did anything.
Only when the power brick is connected, when pressing the power button an amber light lights up at the front and slight decreases its brightness, the RAM and the CPU seem to heat up if the laptop is left connected but nothing else, other than USB devices getting powered.
Here is the original BIOS dump from the 25R256JVEN chip.

          Looking for Dell Latitude 5520 / 5530 / 5540 RJ45 network connector replacement
          by diamon
I have a Dell Latitude 5530 with a damaged RJ45 network connector. See the attached pictures.

Have already searched on Farnell / Aliexpress / Ebay and had contact with several suppliers on Aliexpress and Ebay, but they cannot deliver this connector.
Is there someone inside the EU, who has these connector(s) or perhaps defective motherboard(s) for these laptop models I have mentioned in the topic title.

          Pictures of these boards:

Dell G5 SE 5505 - "Invalid memory installed" after BIOS update.
          by lalle-
          Hello!

I have a problem with a Dell G5 SE 5505 laptop that I hope someone can give me a few pointers on.
[OK, it's not really a laptop, I'm running the motherboard on my desktop with only cooling, RAM and an M2 drive attached.]
I had some performance issues, so I decided to update my BIOS from 1.7.0 to the latest version, 1.20.0.
The computer restarted and the update dit not want to continue without a battery connected, even though I used dell's method of bypassing this requirement.
I tried updating to a custom BIOS from Reddit user Satori_Nori https://www...
