Oh wait...lol I see what you mean the mid 2012 being worth GOLD hahahah the MID 2012 is the pricey item and it works perfect in the Unibody 2011 because it uses all the same components haha. I caught that arrow. Shoot I have about 4 Mid 2012 2.6 on hand that need to be repaired (logic boards) maybe I should purchase all the broken ones on eBay and fix them up LOL jk.

Yes I'm talking about the 2012 15" Unibody boards. Working ones go for $350 to $450. Dead ones that are repairable are extremely rare and still sell for a very high price.

And of course, while it's not that common, they can still exhibit a graphics issue (artifacts or tint shift) that does not seem to be the dGPU or the VRAM and as far as I know it hasn't been solved.

Yeah the 2.7 Mid 2012 is the rarest of them all

I have one just repaired. Whats even cooler is we are attempting to put two 8TB drives in these (16TB) in raid format. We have two 4TB SSD Samsung Evo 870 but we are optimistic to go higher. Of course we will need to use the OWC Data Doubler since those are more reliable than your 6.00 knockoff doublers on Amazon. Some ask why is this even necessary. Well its just a massive storage machine for us to get 8K RAW footage moved around.

tnx very much.... next month when it's better wheater ill do a bga on a 2011 macbook. if that chip is not working ill do that gmux+brightness mod.

i was curious about the possibility to dump the original gmux firmware or other doslab gmux already modded.

Hey all
I think I messed up flashing gmux 820-2915 file with 820-2850 and I have no display at all pls does anyone have orignal gmux 820-2850 dump Jed I read it as bin but it won’t work the fans spin for 2 secs and turn off

is there a way to convert binary to JED.As I read the lattice device of 820-2850 and it saved as bin 152Kb but to write is needs a JED file 1.2mb.I use a sod3 programmer. Now I have my gpu sorted completely. The only issue is brightness control don't work and wakeup from sleep or lid doesn't work.
Please can some provide me another copy of 820-2850-a or I can upload my bin file to convert.

with the right software it wil lsave original file as .jed and for 2915 it is 1.2mb.... so maybe u have saved it bad way.
the right app is lattice diamond programmer.
