hp folio 9470m somtimes power on, sometimes not

Hello everyone, I have a interesting problem with HP Elitebook Folio 9470M i5 3rd

Laptop sometimes power on and works well, but sometimes doesn't power on just power light blinking when I press the power button.

When laptop works, if I power off unplug the charger and put the charger again laptop button lights just power on 1sec and goes off and doesn't power anymore, Just power light blinking, I need to wait minutes or hour to try again to power on.

I measure the laptop when working in ID pin I have 3v
When laptop doesn't power ID pin 0volt, voltage just appeare when i put charger for e second and 0v.


I try
3 different charger with more amps

DC Jack and look closely at centre pin of power connector, it should not touch surrounding barrel metal body

Connection is loose

It's blinking 9-10times

Power led blinking very fast and contiously?


Remove CMOS cell , battery and press power button for 30 sec and release and connect adapter only and start


Measure voltage on charger ic all pins

All pins ,

May be RTCRST issue. ON many HP dc jack light blinks when there is a cap shorted/leaky on rtc section.

Abnormal condition

Share schematic and share charging ic number
Replace power resistor or called CLR

Voltage not passing through as pin ,2


If still same

Replace charger ic

Voltage at rtc section as suggested above?

Voltage on gate of DC MOSFETs ?

Your readings seems incorrect. How can you have different voltage on pin1 & 2 unless and otherwise R6000 is broken?? PIN5 reading at 6V is also near impossible. There are many such discrepancies. Are you counting the pins correctly??
