Acer E5-575-39FE no voltage on battery

    Hello guys,

Laptop have been dropped, broken screen and battery had no voltage on connector.
I replaced the screen and it's ok, but still no voltage on battery connector, 16.91V on cells, which is fine for 4cells battery.
I ordered a brand new battery from Acer, same thing, no voltage on it's connector.

    Is this a MB issue?

I did some measurement on the bq24780s, but since there is no voltage on battery i'm not sure it's any help?

    Thank for reading.

No, can you tell me how please?
If you mean the switch under the laptop we can reach by a small hole, I did check and it's working fine. 0.2 ohm when pressing and open circuit when release.

I'm so stupid, didn't even see the big switch next to the other one, when I press it, battery start deliver current and laptop is working on battery.
        Thanks, case closed.

Acer a515-43 low battery charge voltage
          by ruletero
          Hi

          Acer A515-43
          LA-H801P

Fail: Does not charge battery, has low voltaje on connector.

Laptop didn't want to turn on, only charge led blinked.

I found PQB5 (mosfet high battery charger) in short, voltaje in +12.6V_BATT was 19 v ...

I changed it, changed PQB6 too and now battery charger voltage is 4.4V but battery is 3 cell, 11.25v, then is very low to charging.

Laptop turns on without battery and works fine, but with battery turns on and turns off inmediately, I suspect battery bad but I don't know...

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
          by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

Acer Predator Helios 300 - will not power up if battery is CONNECTED
          by survivalbloke
This was a no power initially. Thanks to your help, I discovered it was the first mosfet, so I replaced. Now, the device will power up only if the battery is NOT connected. As soon as I connect the battery, it shuts off. If I connected the battery while the device is off, it simply will not respond to the power button. I replaced the battery, and while I suppose the new battery could be faulty, I'm assuming it is not. I'm having the same behavior with the new battery. I measure .2v at the charging coil. Manually applying power to the + and - at the battery header, there is no charging happening....

Strange! Acer laptop not powering on but charging the battery (orange light on when charger and battery plugged in).

          Hello Everyone!

I have an Acer Aspire A315-42 laptop. I generally leave it on for long time by closing down its lid (so it enters the sleep mode). Recently, it rained quite heavily in out area. And the humidity and moisture seem to be high. So one late evening, after I opened the lid and turned on the laptop, it did power on as the blue light turned on but after it booted to the desktop screen, just 5-10 seconds after both the screen and blue light went out and laptop shut down (the blue power light turned orange). And after 2-4 seconds that orange light went off and the laptop died.

Cyberpower 1285AVR (CP1285AVRLCD) reporting wrong battery voltage?
          by Sean Devine
UPS turned off one night and it seemed that the 3 year old batteries gave out.

Replaced with a new pair, but the UPS software claimed the battery voltage was only 18 volts and needed to charge. After 24 hours, the UPS claimed only 60% charge and 20 volts (although FWIW, my meter sees 27v).

...then I found various Cyberpower threads here with some guidance on what to check.

          C1 (22uF) tested at 2, so I replaced that.

Put it all back together and didn't see a change on the reported battery voltage. Although, I did run the quick battery diagnostic...
