    Lenovo s100-11iby not turning off

    Motherboard NB116BT1_MB_V11

    When i turn off this laptop it will just reset even when i put the power button settings to shutdown it will still turn on. When i remove the battery and plug it back it will automatically turn on. I reflash the bios but still no luck.

    How to solve this issue?

          Confirmed power button is not the problem? Same everything disconnected from the board?
          Could be an issue on one of the WAKE signal, from WiFi module for example. Hard to diagnose without schematics.

                  Power button is ok. But the power led is not working.

                      Change cmos battery, it should be 3v

                          I,m sorry. 1.7v the volt of the bios chip. And this board does not have bios battery.

                                  Hello, i have some issues with my laptop Lenovo Y700-17ISK (motherboard BY511 NM-A541), it started when i turn on the laptop, but the lcd wont turn on, i then connected it via hdmi to tv and screen was ok. So i thought maybe lcd stripe is faulty, i removed the bottom cover, disconnected main battery, reset the cmos by disconnecting battery for 1 min, then slighty move the lcd stripe. Conncted power supply and tuned on my laptop, the lcd turn on, it started to load os, then it turn off, after a second it turn on, then after like 3 seconds turn off again, and so on. Removed power supply, waited...

                                  I've repaired a few laptops in my life but this time my own laptop died😂.
                                  Funny enough this one is a bit tough on me.
                                  It doesn't turn on (most of the time).
                                  Model: Lenovo y520-15ikbm (NM-391).

                                  The only way to make it turn on is:
                                  1) unplug battery + charger + rtc (seems irrelevant)
                                  2) wait a minute
                                  3) plug battery/charger in
                                  4) on charger plugin, laptop turns on by itself. On battery plugin you have to press power button. Sometimes nothing happens and you have to try again.
                                  5) when it turns on it also displays POST...

                                  Only works with external Monitor.
                                  I am trying to verify that the LCD signals from the motherboard are ok.
                                  The LCD was working, but over time happened to not turn on more frequently.
                                  Now dead.
                                  Possibly the cable from MB to LCD is broken somewhere.

                                  I just wonder how it is detected if external or internal monitor shall be activated ?

                                  i got this laptop with no power issue....i flashed the bios and laptop can turn on and use normally....but when i shut it down and rest for few minute (2-3 minutes), it wont turn on....i have to flash bios again...any idea what is the problem?...when i shutdown and suddenly press power button to turn on, it will turn on normally....problem happen when i rest the laptop 2-3 minutes after shutdown, it will not turn on....i need to flash bios again

                                  I have a Lenovo IdeaPad 3 14ADA05 that it dosen't turn on.

                                  It takes 0.027A and the power button flashing.

                                  All the voltages on the board are ok. 3.3, 5 etc.

                                  Also is charging the buttery .

                                  What else i can check?​
