    HP G4 DA0R24MB6G0 totally dead, no leds

    Hi all

    I have this HP G4 with DA0R24MB6G0 totally dead, no ac led on, none led on.

    I have:

    +VIN 19v
    ACIN = 3.3v
    +3VPCU = 3.3v

    Then charger system look good, but I don't have S5_ON, then, don't have +3VS5, +5VS5, etcetera.

    KBC (KB3930QF) has 3.3v (+3VPCU) pin 9 (VCC), the question is what other signal does KBC need to generate S5_ON?

    Bios has 3.3v in pin 8, I programmed Bios without sucess, same behaviour.

    Does kbc is dead?? or it need to be programmed?

    Please help me :/, thank you for your responses.

      Hi Techtiger

      Sorry for my late response

      RSMRST# = 0
      DNBSWON = 0.9v (pin 90 KBC)
      AD_TYPE = 0.59 v

      I know RSMRST# must to be released when AC charger is detected, in this case nothing happen

      Thank you

        Re: HP G4 DA0R24MB6G0 totally dead, no leds

        Someone could help me?

        I see AD_TYPE fine, I think DNBSWON should be high (3.3v) and RSMRST# high too, what other thing I should to check?

          are you using a original adapter as you know for HP to AC_LED_ON# need a Original one , find AD_ID what is the voltage R110 D20 R112 both side

            for the moment leave DNBSWON & RSMRST you need ALWS before +3VS5, +5VS5 voltage of all pins PU2 ?

              Yes, I have two original chargers, here the values:

              AD_ID in center pin of charger disconnected = 14v
              AD_ID in DC JACK ( connected) 5v ??

              AD_ID in:

              R110 0.6v both sides
              R112 0.6v both sides
              D20 3.3v side 1, 0.6v side 2

              I guess there is something bad in that circuit, but I don't know what...

                  the AD_ID pin (center pin) will be between 0 and 3V is it 0.60V if so with a 65W adapter i think its fine!

                        What other thing can I check?

                        I guess i'm in mistake, may be S5_ON appear only next to press the power button. In that case, I don't know why AC_LED_ON# doesn't appear.

                        What are the requirements to KBC realease AC_LED_ON#? That is the reason because I suspect fail in KBC.

                        Please help

                          you need +12VALW +5VPCU for AC_LED_ON# back trace it , & for the PU2 pin 1 & 6 (ENTRIP1/2 Channel 1 enable and Current Limit setting Input. Connecta resistor to GND to set the threshold for channel 1synchronous RDS(ON) sense. The GND − PHASE1 current-limit threshold is 1/10th the voltage seen at ENTRIP1 overa 0.5V to 2V range. There is an internal 10μA currentsource from VREG5 to ENTRIP1.)

                              Sorry, I didn't explain fine. S5_ON never appear, on any case.

                              I only explained that now I think S5_ON appear after press power button.

                              My first idea was S5_ON should appear as soon I connect the charger, in this moment I'm not sure which is the correct.

                                If you have a DC lab apply 3V pin 18 and see if 3/5 VS5 on the coil Pl19/20

                                          Machine won't power on, no power led, no fan spin, completely dead.

                                          Checked PQ5400 - AONS32314 and pins 5,6,7,8 are 20v (AC adaptor voltage) but pins 1, 2, 3, 4 are 0v.

                                          According to datasheet, conditions are correct for ACOK to be high but it is not.

                                          Tracing ACOK it's connected to ACIN which is connected to a pin GPB0 of IT8227 but also shown as connected to +3VL via a 100k resistor...

                                          I have this ITX motherboard from Gigabyte paired with a 3900X and 32GB of RAM,

                                          The board is only a few months old. I had taken it out of my case (in working condition) a few weeks ago, since I needed the case for something else. The board was left uncovered inside a workshop-type area (yes, bad) for that time and accumulated a little dust. Before trying to use it again I of course cleaned it off with compressed air and make sure that no dust or debris was left on the board.

                                          Pressing the power button makes the PSU click-on and the CPU fan spin, but nothing more. No...

                                          Hi!

                                          I have this laptop and first let's go through what happened

                                          Went totally dead, no reaction
                                          I thought it was the adapter so I bought a new one = nothing happened
                                          Opened up the laptop and adjusted the battery cable = Started working
                                          Worked a couple of days and then went totally dead again

                                          Now nothing works

                                          I have opened the laptop, removed basically all removable components. It does not start without the battery or harddrive or anything disconnected.

                                          Testing with voltmeter I can see 5.3V basically...
