Is the PCH BD82HM65 defective ?

    So , I have this MB - DAOR13MB6EO - Rev E from a HP G7

I do measure any shorts - when I plug the adapter I have the DC jack white led and the power led is also on.
The MB starts up but I have no picture on screen and also not on VGA connected monitor.

Also the leds on KB do not lit.The fan is spinning at normal speed.

Almost all voltages seem to be there. Here is what I found :

    PL 20 = 5.1 V = +5.1V_ALWP = +5VS5
    PL 23 = 3.3 V = +3.3V_ALWP = +3.3VS5
    PL 19 = 0.587V

    PL 16 = 1.5V = DDR3 = PU4 RT8207
    PL 15 = 1.8V = PCH > PU13 TPS54319

    PL 21 = 1.16V = +VCC Core
    PL 22 = 1.16V = +VCC Core

    PL 18 = 0.918V = PCH /+1.1 VTT > PU1 RT8241A

    PL 24 = 1.2V = VGA Core > PU8 RT8208A
    PL 26 = 0.459V = CPU Core 2 > PU10 NCP5911

    PL 25 = 1.05V = PCH /+1.1VTT > PU11 RT8248A

What I noticed is that the HM65 is getting hot (sometimes burning the backside of my hand)

    Also PL 21 22 25 26 and caps PC 246 248 254 get (very) hot /warm.
When HM65 is burning my skin the fan starts to spin very fast (for a short moment)

So I think that the HM65 is gone .. yes ?

    I have this schematic :

Can anyone tell if the voltage of PL19 = 0.587V and PL26 = 0.459V is the correct value ??
I'm not really sure what value they must have .

But should they not be higher ?

PL19 is battery charging rail. Without battery it'll have a random voltage on it.
PL26 is iGPU VCore, almost never relevant.
You can try to flash the BIOS, but there's a chance the GPU is dead.

        Piernov ,

Thank you.Ok so I have no shorts and no lights on keyboard (caplock and num lock off)
So , will try to flash the bios.

So , I flashed the bios with a later version F.65 .Both the main and the EC.
And now the cap- and numlock and wifi led are on on the KB.
Also I have the led screen coming on with a picture.

So it looks like the bios was not oke.

I did notice however that I cannot get a picture on a monitor via VGA.Maybe the KB is not ok ??
