Hp g61 main da00p6mb6d0 no power switch

I have this hp that when I insert the power supply the charger light is ok, when I press the button nothing happens both with charger and with battery

I checked the mainboard and ran these procedures without success:

    Flash with bios replacement

    replacement ene kb3926

    slight reflow on the ICH-9M

    voltages present
    3VALW + / + 5VALW
    + 12VALW

    NBSWON1 # 3.3v drops to 0 when I press the power button

    Nothing happens no fan speed,

Do you have any suggestions on what to check? I attach bios and scheme

any suggestion is well accepted thanks

check RSMRST,LID SW on kbc ene 3926(Both should be 3V). Why change random components without troubleshooting first??

you're right, I had the same components and I tried without success
        measure yourself now

        RSMRST 3.35 v
        LID_EC 3.35 v

they seem ok, the pc doesn't want to turn on

Make a bios request in bios subforum as suggested by@ smdflea. Seems like bios issue.

I rewrote the bios, even with the original file from the hp site, nothing to do, always off,
Is it possible that the ICH-9M chipset has failed?
                        or the CANTIGA_GM nortbridge?

There is no reaction to switch on the main by pressing the pwbt

S5_ON-pin 101 of KBc needs to be checked . I think this voltage is not rising. Since you have RSMTST, that means comminication is ok between kbc and ICH. After RSMRST, ICH should answer by releasing S5_ON without which you wont have SUS and in turn VS lines will not rise.

Re: Hp g61 main da00p6mb6d0 no power switch

S5_ON is managed by the EC itself to turn on S5 rails, that should happen before RSMRST# goes high.

When RSMRST# is high and DNBSWON# is triggered, ICH should transition to S4 then S3 state by sending out SLP_S5# and SLP_S4# (SUSC#), EC gets those signals and sends out SUSON to turn on the SUS rails (which are S3 rails, not to be mixed up with the SUS rails present on newer platforms with Deep Sx state).
This requires RTC well to be already working, so RTCRST#, SRTCRST#, INTVRMEN, 32KHz RTC clock should all be present. BATLOW# most likely has to be high as well.

s5 on and RSMRST are released after pressing the pw button, I measure

                                      RSMRST 3.35v

however there are no lines Vs

                                      without pressing the pw button

                                      S5on 0 v,
                                      RSMRST 0 v

Last Sunday I was watching a dvd and fell asleep for about half hour, when I awoke the tv screen was black and couldn't get the dvd menu to show, so I changed the input to antenna and had sound but no picture, turned it off. Hi Everyone. First official post so fingers crossed I conform and also manage to get photos to work.

So I am requesting some help from anyone who happens to have one of these motherboards to hand and perhaps a multimeter.

My board has a single row of header pins for all the front panel stuff (have seen others where they are grouped together differently so thats no help) and the two pins for the power on switch had been previously repaired and I am trying to make a better repair. There looks to be pad and trace damage and im happy to relocate the header pin/pins to...

NEC TurboExpress On/Off Power Switch Replacement Help
                                          by grimacelord
                                          Hello,

I've been working on a NEC TurboExpress and I accidentally got the plastic inside the power ON/OFF switch too hot while doing other repairs and melted it. At first, it would still power on when sliding the switch, but you had to really press inward while sliding to get it to work.

I removed the switch component and tried to gently melt the plastic back so it would work more reliably and all I managed to do was make it worse.

I need to find a replacement On/OFF switch for this, but having some trouble figuring out which kind of switch I need....

Good morning forum. This laptop comes into my laboratory with the defect that it won't turn on. By connecting the bench power supply I have an absorption of 1.56A (battery charging), I disconnect the battery, I have an absorption of 0.01A. I give the power on but it doesn't react. I check the mainboard and I notice the Isl88732 charger with oxide and a little burnt between pins 7-8. I remove the charger, clean the pads and solder another ISL coming from another identical board. I also find a bit of oxide in the power button connector. I clean the connector, clean the flat that goes to the power...
