Asus X556UQ-XX453T not turning on, not charging

    Hi guys

I got this laptop some time ago, but started to check it out just now.
Friend that gave it to me says that one day, after turning it of the next day would not start. He sent it to some repair shop but they didn't manage to fix it. But they did manage to tear few traces for bios ic. That is fixed now, but i am not sure that the bios that is programmed to ic is the right one for this laptop. Found few dumps here on the site but with neither of them laptop starts.
Laptop is not starting, not charging battery. Plugged in LED is on, but charging LED does not come on. As soon as I plug it in it starts to draw around 220mA. My main question is could it be that IT8995 is corrupted and because of that is not starting even to charge the battery? Or is BQ24780s completely independent of EC and it should start to charge battery as soon as plugged in?
    3.3V, 5V are present, 1.2 for ram, 0.8V for 940MX.
I was not able to find any obvious shorts.

Can BIOS or EC cause Laptop to "turn on" and get all votages except VCCGT without even pressing power button (which btw tested ok)?

Attached photo of mainboard with some voltages (written with black marker )

    Thanks

Yes, laptop can turn on without pressing power button if cmos battery is not connected(Not on all platforms) BQ24780 or any other charging ic works with kbc and cannot charge without a functional kbc (SDA/SCL/ACDET,ACOK are few signals which needs to talk with kbc. So BQ24780 cannot charge independently. Hope that clears your confusion.

After finding the correct bios also check if the ec receives the right voltage

Flashed new bios dump that was posted in Bios section, but the laptop is not starting. Will try to investigate voltages on IT8995, although 3.3V for EC is present.
          Board view attached.

ASUS X54H laptop thinks it's always charging even with charger unplugged
            by flat-earther
The charging indicator light on my ASUS X54H laptop is always on even when the charger is disconnected.

Windows also shows ''Plugged in'' when charger is not connected.

This problem started year ago gradually, when unplugging the charger the charging light took several seconds to disappear, then minutes, and now almost always on even when unplugged for an entire day.
Strangely, before sometimes immediately when plugging in the charger the charging light went away, and later came back with it connected.
If I let battery run out and say it has 3% Windows will...

            Hello,

I have an Asus X415EA board that is not charging the battery after some liquid damage. Everything else works, except charging the battery.
So far I measured all the pins on the bq24780s controller with the following result:

            1. ACN = 0.0V
            2. ACP = 19.02V
            3. CMSRC = 18.5V
            4. ACDRV = 23.9V
            5. ACOK = 5.9V
            6. ACDET = 2.57V
            7. IADP = 0.17V
            8. IDCHG = 0V
            9. PMON = ?
            10. PROCHOT = 5.05V
            11. SDA = 3.3V
            12. SCL = 3.3V
            13. CMPIN = 0.47V
            14. CMPOUT = 6.0V
            15. BATPRES = 0.0V

            ASUS T100HA not charge
            by hpman
I got a T100HA tablet without a charger. I want to identify the power adapter for this unit and found that it requires a 9V input.
When the tablet is running, the 9V input will not charge it. Only when the tablet is turned off, the 9V input will charge it.

I could use a 5V charger to charge this unit at any time. However, if I use 5V during usage, the input power is insufficient for the power consumption.
After 1-2 hours, I must turn off the tablet to charge it.

I love this tablet as it meets my needs. Does anyone know how to fix this issue and allow me to...
