The dell laptop wot charge the battery Ive tried to replace its battery and charger now I think the problem is on the board

Measuring PR765 im getting 0 voltage that in the schematic I should have 17v

ive check the charger port form the midle pin its OK
because some of dell charger the charger port can get damge easily ..


what to do next ?

You are not getting +17.4V_BATT+ on PR765 and there could be 2 reasons:
01. Batt is deeply discharged/dead
02.You charger ic's high/low fet's gate not opening.

Does it give any adapter warnings?? Charger detected in bios setup??

I didnt have any warning in the bios it will jus t boot on windows then looking at the battery icon battery not charging

The led indicator keeps on flashing orange , even Ive change its newly battery from a working same model

pls check psid singnal first
and wattage showing or not pls check in bios

I only have digital tester sir maybe it need OSILOSCOPE

Does it show battery percentage correctly and does it run from battery with AC adapter disconnected?

Neither dmm nor scope is needed to check. just press F2 and go to relevant section and see it detects the adapter or not.

It shows battery is in 40% but not charging

Neither dmm nor scope is needed to check. just press F2 and go to relevant section and see it detects the adapter or not.

The adapter is detected sir beacuse I can power on the unit without the battery I go to the bios

Powering on a unit only on ac adapter doesnt means adapter is detected. However, in your case it is detected as it shows it 65W correctly.

DAT_SMB,CLK_SMB,SYS_PRES-Measure these signals present or not on battery connector. Check PQ704/708 as well.
