    Lenovo G710 battery won't charger

Hi I have Lenovo G710 laptop, and my friend diagnose that battery charger chip BQ737 was damaged and won't charge the battery. When he allegedly repair it and return laptop to me I insert my own battery that I purchased from my other friend but he wasn't sure that battery is still OK and have capacity. When I insert that battery into my laptop, it won't charge, it is always on 1% and sometimes charging appear and disappear. And even sometimes it won't recognized battery at all. It even shuts down my laptop after few minutes of use with battery inside, when I remove it laptop was working normally. I asked my friend how did he repair that because it's the same as before, and he told me that I maybe burn that chip with this battery again. I tried three more batteries that my other friend borrow me and told me they are OK, and same thing with all three of them when I try to charge them.

I'm not saying that I don't believe him, but I just want to aks is that really possible, could that chip really be damaged by battery that easily ?

I am more of hobbyist in electronics, I am not much of an expert. That's why I leave that stuff to him. But I was just wondering if it's possible, I tried four batteries and same thing on every four. He told me that he discharge his own batterie to 0 and charge it to 100% and everything went well, and that's only his word, not that I have any other proof.

The BQ737 is working fine up to certain point if not the MB will not power on but with out checking some of the input & output pins of BQ737 chip Cannot tell if the charging section working or not may be faulty caps or Mosfet related to charging section

Motherboard is powering On, and laptop is working fine without battery, even with battery it's ok but sometimes it shuts himself off because battery is inside, and showing sometimes that battery is not present or just saying 1% and staying all the time at it. I power on aida64 power managment and charging appears sometimes, and it powers up battery a little then disappear, very strange.

Charger chip BQ737 was the problem. After replacing the chip laptop is charging fine. I been using it now for few weeks without any problem.

Thanks for all suggestions and help

The ISL88739 & ISL88739AHRZ are a highly versatile combo battery charger
configurable for operating as either a Hybrid Power Boost (HPB)
charger or a Narrow VDC (NVDC) charger, supporting 2-, 3-, or

the adapter capability, referred to as system Turbo mode. HPB

Strange battery present behaviour in Lenovo Legion 5-15ARH05 mb model nm-d041
              by ferah831208
Hello guys, i need help with this problem, I have a NM-D041 mobo, it came with low impedance in 3v linear regulator rail, the cause was a damaged EC controller ITE8227e-192. I ordered a new one and replaced it. This laptop have a different chip for keyboard management and it8227e pins for programming ITE chips are not accesible through keyboard interface, I flashed it using i2c interface pins with vertyanov programmer because laptop was dead and SPI flash didn't have power (only 3v EC) so it couldn't access firmware stored in SPI memory. I read SPI and extracted it8227 firmware from original BIOS...

how to prevent a connected charger from draining battery when not charging?
              by flat-earther
I have an RC radio handset(Taranis QX7) which doesn't have internal battery charger which means I had to remove the battery every time I needed to charge it.
So to improve it, I added a 15W USB-C charger board(link) inside and soldered it to the same connector on the PCB where the battery plugs into, great, now I can simply charge it with a USB-C cable.

but the problem I found is that after the radio sat for two weeks without being used the 2S 18650 battery that I'm using was at 4.2V!
So the battery is backfeeding the charger and being drained.

              How can I prevent...

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
              by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...
