    MSI MS-16H51 Short to Ground

Working on an MSI laptop motherboard, model MS-16H51. System has a short to ground, injected 19v 2a to DC in and identified the culprit as an AO4447A mosfet, short goes away when removed. See pic below. Combing through my donor boards I haven't been able to locate an exact match for AO4447A. I tried AO4423 but short returns when it is attached.

    Original AO4447A

    AO4423

    Maybe another component is defective?

    Thanks

Short to ground after DC-in MOSFETs.

OK, injected power after DC mosfet... only thing that warms up is the CPU. Fuckkkkk.

This mb has inbuilt cpu and it was wrong to inject 19v on rail. perhaps you had short in vcore rail and you just killed the cpu by applying 19v as it reached the cpu. maynot be the case here but there is high probability of such a scenario. Always start with 1V andincrease the amp instead of voltage.
