Re: Sony with MBX-224 mainboard problem
PQ31 Source need +12V if it's not there trace it back when this Fet switch on with the help of SUS ON PQ31 Drain gets +12_1 this Voltage pull up from there to PQ131 in put side
PR130 need +5VALW if it' not their tarce it back or put a jumper form +5VALW , PQ47 Drain must have +5VALW if it's not there trace it back , Do a continuity test PL16 to PR130 PQ47Last edited by Techtiger; 09-20-2019, 02:45 AM.Comment

Re: Sony with MBX-224 mainboard problem
change (PQ29) PQ29A Drain should be Negative voltage you have 0.4 when than Negative voltage reach Gate of PQ29B that fet get off letting +12V to gate of PQ47Comment

Re: Sony with MBX-224 mainboard problem
but should the "xVALW" voltages always be present? I noticed that when I plug in the power cord they are present and after about 20 seconds they disappear and when I press the power button they reappear and then disappear after 20 secondsComment

Re: Sony with MBX-224 mainboard problem
Lots of sony mb has this feature like mbx223/224/269. The +3V/+5V ALW will appear on coil for 10-20 seconds and will go away. thats the feature of this mb. So dont worry about that. your problem lies elsewhere. I'm 100% sure of what i'm writing as yesterday only i repaired a very complicated case of MBX-223 which came after several attempts to repair by earlier technicians.Comment

by MalvaHi everyone,
I'm trying to repair my LG 49UB850V TV (WebOS 1.0, UHD model from 2014).
Mainboard model: EAX65684604
PCB marking: EBT62954607
SPI chip: Winbond W25X20CLNIG Problem description:
Originally, the TV would turn on (backlight and LED OK if I force them on), but it shut down as soon as any input was received from the IR sensor or remote. The backlight and power board were working fine.
After testing and verifying the voltages (DRY ON, PWR ON, 12V/24V rails), I suspected a corrupted SPI firmware. What I tried so far:- I bought another

by ChrissygizmoHello again everyone,
This is my latest mission, to try getting this Sony tv back to normal working order…
I've only just got it today, when you power it up everything is as should be, in fact it works perfectly for a few minutes then the screen starts getting horizontal lines on & eventually the full screen goes back, I will upload photos of the problem & also some photos of the board etc. You might notice that I'm busy trying the tape method, I'm not sure exactly where the clock lines are so I'm just guessing & hoping for the best lol . I've already tried... -
by micsa84Hello! I have a problem with a mainboard from a Lenovo Ideapad 3 15ada05.
The problem is that the cooling fan is always on full speed, It doesn't recognize the battery and it is not charging it and the keyboard has only partial functionality, many of the keys don't work.
I tried a new bios update but that didn't changed anything.
What could be the problem with it? -
by crackedprintI have a strange fault on a Sony amplifier. The volume control varies the display from MIN, then 1 up to 30 and then MAX as expected. At MIN there is no sound. However, at 1 it is quite loud and increasing above 1 does not change the sound level.
I have tried a Cold Reset as per the service manual.
I have looked at the I2C clock and data to volume control chip IC501 (BD3499FV). Data is only sent to IC501 when the volume is set to MIN or 1. At any other setting no data is sent to IC501.
I have looked all the way through the service manual and tried many online...-

by retrorepairHello gurus, hope you can assist me...
I have a Sony KDL.40P3600, with an issue on the left side of the screen (pictures attached).
I think the problem is the panel, but before send it to trash, i would like to get a second opinion.
Thanks in advance.2 Photos - Loading...
