Yoga S1 LA-A341P bios chip location

    Hi All

I don't suppose anyone could advise where the BIOS chip is located on a Lenovo Yoga S1 LA-A341P, I think I have narrowed it down to X2 possible options. I have QH32 & QH64 that match the size of the replacement I have received.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Mark

The schematics show 2 chips an 8M and a 4M, Page 8. Pictures show what looks to them by the cpu. Id guess the 8M is the QH64 and the 4M is the QH32.

Hi, thanks for the advice. Which one would I need to replace to repair a corrupted bios? Sorry, I'm a bit of a noob. Thanks

Both. Back up your old ones first though.

My laptop won't boot (corrupted bios) so I'm not able and it's not worth backing either of them up. I have only purchased one replacement bios chip, is the info stored on them the same?
          Thanks for your help btw.

You remove and read with an external programmer, then reprogram. Yopu have a copy of both dumps, they are different for each chip. A CH341A is cheap.
Always back up your old BIOS even if corrupted.

Why you think that the problem is related to bios ?
Have read the voltages on both chip ?
