Lenovo Legion Y520 nm-b191 NO DISPLAY BLANK Help ?

Hi, i have legion y520 nm-b191 motherboard with no display, blank.

Fan is keep spinning but no display.
Voltage 3.3v and 5v regulator present. Led power light white when power button pressed.

Found the IC card reader controller UW1 very hot, remove the ic but still the same.

No voltage on PL3101 and PL3102 cpu vccgfxcore.
Cpu core has voltage.
Vccsa has voltage.

Any suggestion?

Hi, i have reflashed the bios from this thread:

but still the same...blank. Both bios, 1M and 8M flashed.

I then go to download lenovo y520 latest bios 4KCN40WW from lenovo website, extract the bios and ec from lenovo installer....flashed both bios and ec also the same.....blank.

Any working bios suggestions ?

If you have extracted main+ec from lenovo update-then perhaps not a bios issue. Check ram slots and ram stick as if ram is not reset-no gfxcore.

Btw, i have not seen the schematics but gfxcore coil should be 1 only. So you are likely having missing gfxcore plus something else also.

Also it could be the bios IC need to replace and reflash from official update.

Ram slots checked and voltage rail ddr4 checked fine.

It's indeed 2 gfxcoil because there are 2 pwm controller in a parallel stage....and resulting 1 vccgfxcore.....and then feed to the intel hd inside cpu.

The nvidia gfxcore is just fine. I found the nvvdd and nvvdds outputing voltage correctly.

Also it could be the bios IC need to replace and reflash from official update.

When writing the bios there is no error on write and verify.....but good idea, i will try to find another bios ic and try to replace the bios ic on motherboard.

pl3101- pl3102 not voltage , what could be the problem, I can't see nvidia

Is it posting? try with external keyboard...and see if caps lock led on.

i tryed with keyboard iluminating keys and the keyboard works.fn+ space.

i am not sure that is indication (keyboard backlight)...Do you have a caps lock led light when laptop turned on? If yes then your problem is gpu because laptop is posting. If you dont have then your problem is cpu or pch.
In the past i had like 2 or 3 boards legion y520 that had every voltage but didnt post (no capslock led light). I have not tried to repair it to see if it is cpu or pch because of that glue that lenovo is using under the chip.

this version of main doesnt have the separate chipset near ram slot. only gpu and cpu

that is not the same board although markings are similar. your laptop is Lenovo Legion 5-15ARH05 and this on the subject is older y520.
