Hi. Dev cant be switched on with soldered cmos battery. Widthout battery or empty battery working well. Any idea?

Check CMOS battery voltage, if too low replace it.If its ok check the RTC area on the schematic . -

Check schematic, find the switching pin on kbc. Put a 3V cmos battery and try directly shorting the switching pin on sio to gnd and see if it turns on.Comment

My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?
Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?
My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.

Dear all, I am trying to troubleshoot an Acer Aspire 5 A514-55 that won't power on. I'll describe the symptoms and my findings so far, and I would like to seek guidance and suggestions on possible suspects in terms of cause/component failure. My initial thoughts are battery charger IC and/or ideal diode/MOSFET (that switches between incoming DC and battery power), but I could be totally wrong on this.1) Laptop was working fine on battery, then user realised battery was running low. This was a no power initially. Thanks to your help, I discovered it was the first mosfet, so I replaced. Now, the device will power up only if the battery is NOT connected. As soon as I connect the battery, it shuts off. If I connected the battery while the device is off, it simply will not respond to the power button. I replaced the battery, and while I suppose the new battery could be faulty, I'm assuming it is not. I'm having the same behavior with the new battery. I measure .2v at the charging coil. Manually applying power to the + and - at the battery header, there is no charging happening....

I have acer laptop tmx314-51 with part no 6050A3020501.
The laptop is working fine on adapter and battery is also charging and when adapter is disconnected in on state the laptop gives backup on battery and gives good backup.
But when laptop is powered on through battery only the laptop does not power on and there is 0 voltage on battery connector.
I have not not tried another battery as it is not available locally could this be a battery problem.have checked discharging mosfet and there is no shorting to ground on any pin of battery connector.

Symptoms: not turning on. There is only the LED battery indicator working. The owner of the laptop told me this problem arrived one week after having changed the battery. He then managed to power on the laptop only once, and then it never powered on again.
Tests already made:
- Battery is charging when laptop is plugged in. The LED battery indicator turns white after a couple of hours of charge, indicating that battery is fully charged. However, laptop won't turn on anyway, with or without AC plug.
