First, check if battery led is on when you insert battery, if yes, check 3 and 5 volt and check if there is a voltage on the bios, if those voltages are present try to reprogramm bios but you should have a programmer ; don't touch anything if you not sure you can do.

        Morning.

You can try disabling the on board RAM following the images attached, no idea if it works, I haven't tried it yet just keep every change in mind so that you can revert back to the current state with ease... I mean don't do it if you aren't comfortable...

Found it somewhere on this forum.

I tried to disable the ram by removing the resistors, I still have the same problem: turn on not showing anything on the lcd / external monitor, the power & numlock leds remain fixed when turning on, 1min after turn on the fan, and everything is like this

            Hello,

YouTube video of the problem encountered: https://youtube.com/shorts/q7TLNv36LUo

I am a pro and I have a problem that I have never seen despite my 7.5 years of experience on my own and my thousands of repairs, on a customer's Dell G3 15 3500.

On this PC I have already changed the complete palmrest because the keyboard was no longer working properly.

I also changed the screen because the PC fell and the screen was broken.

I changed the battery with a new and original battery.

I also had corrosion/oxidation on the...

I would like to program the bios again, to rule out a corrupted bios.

ASUS X201e - The screen does not turn on and remains black
            by andrestecno
            Hi everyone,

I'm dealing with an intermittent problem and can't find a solution. Sometimes my notebook starts up and everything works fine. However, after I turn it off and try to turn it on again, the motherboard starts, but the screen stays black. It seems like the notebook freezes and a green LED with a light bulb icon stays on.

If anyone has the service manual or any suggestions on how to fix this issue, I would greatly appreciate it.

            Thanks in advance!

            Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

I came around this forum last week with the goal of repairing my faulty gaming laptop, indeed, I was video editing on it when suddenly a black screen popped and never disappeared I bought some stuff to try to repair it and learn as many things as possible about computer repairs but nothing worked so far. When the black screen appeared, my legion 5 pro was connected to my external monitor...
