HP dv7-Something? Can't see MB specs

I replaced a motherboard in a HP DV7-6b01 laptop with one from Amazon. It was advertised as a 659093-001 HP DV7-6000. However, although everything works, it shows in the bios as "HP Casablanca H710" so I really don't know what model it is. The bios also gives a serial number of the board as CNC011254M and the installed OS as Vista whereas the DV7 had windows 7 installed. This makes me think it is a DV6 board. Is there any way of identifying the exact board and re-installing the proper ID for it in the bios? I have heard of HP tools and some kind of "tatoo" program to change the bios. Is this what I need?
