HP DV7-3080us Bad/broken transistor marked E72 marked PQ17 on MB

This laptop was bought as a re-furbished and whomever did the work left 2 screws inside on the MB and also cracked the top of PQ17 a SMD transistor beside the SubWoofer jack on the MB. I just wanted some help identifying this part for replacement. I may have another HP DV7 I can use for a donor board but still would like to know in case I need a new one. Thru google i found much confusion but closest found was 2n7002 E72 Mosfet Smd Sot-23 The photo is an exact match. but I am not sure it is the right part.
MB part number DA0UP6MB6E0 REV: E
    Foxconn
    ML1-H94V-0
    E25311 Made in china 168UP60001-157E

I tried to get a clear closeup photo for you but i don't have my microscope on this PC. I used my cell phone for this one.

    It is indeed a 2N7002E.

Thank you piernov - I finally found a donor E72 on a dead ACER board. I'm glad I keep all the boards now. I came close to throwing it out since it had coke or pepsi spilled all inside.
Anyway I am happy to report a successful repair and completed job.
        Have a great day.. everyday!!

          R9 390 8Gb - Broken Transistor and missing components?
          by dicky96
          Hi guys
I have a R9 390 here. The owner sent it to me with a smd 1AM transistor (one leg broken off) taped to the heatsink

He says he bought this used as 'working' on ebay, put it on one side for about a year (never tested it) and when he came to use it, it does not work

He then spotted the broken transistor in the bottom of the box

At this time it was much too late to return it

He sent me some pics where he says the transistor comes from (not sure how he knows for sure).

Under the microscope it does look like some transistor...

Is it possible bridging tiny broken trace
          by chth96
When I assembled dreamcast I mistakenly fastened long bolt and It resulted in
          cutting tiny trace.
This tiny trace(Total width of white coating is 5.5mm) is between R337,R343 and IC101 and it is covered with white coating in the below screenshot.

Firstly I tried to bridging tiny broken trace with my own eyes...But it is totally impossible..So a week ago, I ordered G1200 Digital Microscope and I magnified this tiny broken trace with it.

But It seems that It is really very tiny trace So I plan to order 0.1mm coper wire from aliexpress in order to bridging...

MSI Crosshair 15 A11UEK. Need help with Transistors!!!
          by Bob Wong
Welcome badcaps, repairing a Crosshair 15, in need of transistor specifics. Received a broken laptop that's was perfect for repair, threw away the looser transistors in a haste... Should and could have salvaged them.
In any case, I will be posting all my discoveries to this forum as a thanks in advance. Thanks in advance lol.

P.S. If anyone is familiar with such things, as in, If anyone knows that MSI uses one or one of a few types of transistors when marked with a number please let me know how I can find more specifics before I start throwing hail marys.

Behringer Eurolive B205D repair - help identifying transistor
          by magneh
          Hello
Got this speaker from a friend , defective. Power led comes on and off , in a loop.
Disassembled, got the board out, and after a bit of measuring I found a low resistance on a 5v6 line. With a bit of current I found a transistor heating up on that line (labeled T1 and 113 as on pic).
After removing this guy, I got a value of 0.7 in diode mode on that 5v6 line, which before had 0.02 or something like that.

I tested powering it up without the IC, and the speaker turns on and stays on, and works fine

Still, I need to replace this transistor....
