    Not Starting HP 470 G1

    Hi.

I have an HP here that had an issue with the fan pulsing instead of spinning. Upon opening the laptop I found that it had spill marks on it. Which corroded 5 pins on the SMSC KBC1126-NU Chip. Upon removing the chip I found a track thats broken leading to the PWM pin for the fan. I have the chip SMSC replaced and the PMW connection to the fan working. So thats all good now but the laptop isn't working now. For some reason when you plug in the DC adapter the LED stays lid. The fan spins quickly for 1/3 second and then stops. The CPU starts heating up and then cools.. Its like its in a restart loop.

Any pointers that I can attempt to look at? All the main lines seem fine. Over the whole repair nothing weird happened it was a fairly strait forward repair on the broken track.

    * Note I did remove the SMSC chip and the track I repaired which does the same. Not starting / restarting loop / No display nothing...
#EDIT: Im looking for a schematic.. that would actually help alot if anyone has one.

    Thanks

      Hi jasko jacker

I feel pretty stupid now... But its fine it works I missed some pins as they seemed connected but I hooked up my magnifier and saw that some pins didn't take the solder all the way. So it works great now. Thanks though
