HP 15-E049SF running CPU at 100°C

As the title says, this laptop (like many of the same generation, are BULLSHIT) is running crazy temperatures of the cpu, i have even replaced the cpu, same result.
If i touch the metal cpu frame, it doesn't seems as hot ...
What are the tips my friends ?
    Thanks

      Anyone here ?
Why the temp. is wrong ?
i juste measure the real temp with external probe, and when internal probe shows 90°, the external is showing 40°.
Is the internal temp sensor on the CPU, or elsewhere ?
      Any tips are welcome

check out cpu voltage with scope if you have...it could be unstable due to bad caps in cpu vrm section...Used to be cause of high tems in some older hp models...

I think that is just false reading...i had hp 15 and 17 with that issues since day one...

It was a false Reading, LOL Speccy Bug.
I tested with Speedfan and CPU temps are about the same as GPU, about 40°c when surfing on the net.
Well, moral of the story, use at least 2 diferent softwares when reading temps.

            Thank you guys

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

Running Line Voltage and Integrating LED Pods - Automotive
              by FALKLAN
Howdy everyone! I hope all is well where ever you are!

I'm attempting to integrate a couple of LED pods into an automotive reverse lamp circuit. The problem being, while the vehicle is running there is a 8.5v current present on the reverse lamp power wire. Needless to say is that all LED pods and lights dimly illuminate while the 8.5v is present, so the LEDs are always powered on while the vehicle is running. When the vehicle is shifted into reverse, the voltage changes to 12 volts.

I am uncertain how to convert this line into a switched 12v output line for the LED pods....

Dell Latitude 3510 Overheating & Fan Control Issue – Need Help
              by Ven
Dell Latitude 3510 (Intel Core i7-10510U) CPU Overheating

              Issue Description:
              1. CPU Overheating to 100°C
                • When I start the laptop from a cold state, it takes about a minute to reach temps around 80-90-100°C, and CPU thermal throttling triggers.
                • When the CPU fan is running at full speed (by disconnecting PWM and TACH cables), CPU temperature stays around 50-60°C.
                • However, when the fan is connected normally to the motherboard, it does not kick in at high temperatures.
                • I also noticed a few times that the fan kicked in for a very short time, but it does not stay on consistently.

Drying Oven - Preset Temp Fail
              by tmcw
              Here's an unusual one...

This is a Gallenkamp oven, used in a laboratory space, goes up to 220 Celcius, but is usually maintained at about 115 Celcius. Used for drying glassware, molecular sieves, and so on. Oven is in excess of 20 years old.

It heats up fine, there is an orange light on the front that indicates that the unit is heating, and when it reaches the preset temp, the orange light goes out. All good so far.

However, after the preset temp is reached, the temperature continues to rise, power to the heating elements isn't cut off.

MSI MAG Z390 Tomahawk BIOS temp, allways at 0ºC and CPU goes protection 800Mhz
              by foshland
Hi to all, my motherboard (bought second hand as faulty, but now working after cleaning the ram slots) have a strange failure that shows 0 Celsius degrees in BIOS, because of that, the CPU goes to protection mode and gets stuck at 800Mhz.

Since its a 8-9 Intel generation, I know the CPU temp is the hottest temp of the cores (as i have read in intels documentation) so its not a diode or sensor on the board.

External temperature (motherboard temp) is working OK, 27ºC more or less

In windows, all the software I have tested shows correct the Core temps
