      microsoft software called "DaRT" is what you need.
      you need to get the version to match your windows version.

        Windows 10 has 2 types of accounts - local account and microsoft account. You can create local accounts and recover/remove the passwords of such accounts with ease. But the case with the Microsoft account is not the same. Every time you log on, Windows10 contacts Microsoft servers to verify your password and log you onto their system, so you can use their services(app store and so on). If you are not connected to the internet, then you have to enter the last password used on the computer/to log into this account. The password is cached, but i have no information what type of algorithm is used. I tried several times - unsuccessfully to remove a password from Microsoft account in Windows10. It's much more easier to create new LOCAL account and then to copy the information from the account in question.
        To do so, first you need to enable the built in ADMINISTRATOR account. You can do so with NT Password and Registry Editor. You need to cleanly shutdown Windows 10 installation - not to hibernate. So you have to choose RESTART, not SHUTDOWN(because Windows10 uses FAST Shutdown by default which is type of sleep/hibernate state, not complete shutdown) When the computer reboots, press and hold the POWER button and shut it down completely. After this perform the procedure I have already explained.
        There are 2-3 tools, that are claiming to be able to remove a password from Microsoft account, but none is free and I've never tested such a tool. At the time I was trying to remove/recover Microsoft account password, there were no such tools.

        Useful conversions. I don't "speak" imperial. Please use metric, if you want to address me.
        1km=1000m=100000cm, 1inch=2.54cm, 1mile=1609.344meters, 1ft=30.48cm 1gal(US)=3.785liters, 1lb=453grams, 1oz=28.34grams
