Strange problem with Toshiba L775

Diagnosis of my laptop power on problem:

Laptop is working fine with only charger. Also is working fine only on battery, but if I connect battery and disconnect charger after it's powered off it will start again only from battery. Trying to connect charger at that time will result in dead computer, no lights, nothing. Then I must remove cmos battery to get it working again.

I ordered new battery, but I'm afraid this won't do any good ...

Could somebody share opinion, what could be the problem? Is it a battery problem? How could I diagnose it further?

Verify the mosfets around the charging controller, if one of them is shorted..., and also the charger ic can present problems...

I torn the laptop down again and checked mosfets, they all seems fine .. But interesting thing happened. I left laptop completely to dry out battery, and then suddenly started to work ok... until ... I took battery out and put it in again... is this bad battery symptom (I really hope so)?

EDIT: Did not work for a second time ... when it worked battery was long time showing 99% in windows when charging. Left it to run out of juice ... and computer worked ... But now it was showing 23% in windows, left it again to run out of juice, and it did not work .. hm ...
