Ok, I re-seated cables, but problem remains. Contacted some service here, they said it's possible t-con problem, t-con is not simple to replace, it's integrated on display board ... they said to deliver tv to them, and they'll see if it's repairable...

Sony KDL-50W656 has colored vertical lines, they change color when getting into menus with remote, etc ...
What could be wrong, panel gone bad?

Ok, spoke to service guy, it is panel problem - he said he will tear panel apart and try to repair it, there's a small change he'll succeed.

I torn the laptop down again and checked mosfets, they all seems fine .. But interesting thing happened. I left laptop completely to dry out battery, and then suddenly started to work ok... until ... I took battery out and put it in again... is this bad battery symptom (I really hope so)?
EDIT: Did not work for a second time ... when it worked battery was long time showing 99% in windows when charging. Left it to run out of juice ... and computer worked ... But now it was showing 23% in windows, left it again to run...Last edited by gurug; 09-15-2016, 09:28 AM.Leave a comment:

Strange problem with Toshiba L775
Diagnosis of my laptop power on problem:
Laptop is working fine with only charger. Also is working fine only on battery, but if I connect battery and disconnect charger after it's powered off it will start again only from battery. Trying to connect charger at that time will result in dead computer, no lights, nothing. Then I must remove cmos battery to get it working again.
I ordered new battery, but I'm afraid this won't do any good ...
Could somebody share opinion, what could be the problem? Is it a battery problem? How could I diagnose it further?... -

Problem SOLVED!
It was two LED's which were broken on backlight ... power supply does not output 70V if it detects problem with LED's ... So it was in protective mode. I replaced LED's and TV is working normally. Thanks for you help and ideas!Leave a comment:

Hm, order "new" power supply board, but no luck ... seems this board I got is broken too ... It has 0V on LED output ... but I'm wondering, it is same model of board EAX64905001, but original was REV2.0 and this one I bought via eBay is REV4.0... Is this relevant?
Like I said before on old board when I disconnect MOSfet I got stable 46V on connector ... please advice me further where to look - mosfet seems ok ...

I thought your problem was only with MAP3202?

Yes on connector is from 11 to 20V. And on C214 is like I said. And it's not going straight to connector, see attached schematics....Leave a comment:

I have exactly same problem, voltage to backlight fluctoates between 11-20V. I replaced MAP3202 - but problem is the same ... can you help me to further diagnose fault?

Hello to all!
I repaired philips 32pfl3008h last week, changed 4 diodes in power supply and fuse. TV started working again. But now I see that randomly after from 2 to 4 hours of tv on, backlight turns off... Sound plays on. After I switch tv off and on again, it works again for few hours...
Can anyone point me in right direction what should I also check?
