Battery not charging on a Toshiba B40

Hello all, I have this motherboard, model: MR10F-6050A2578201-MB-A02 for a Toshiba B40.

Problem is I can't charge this battery. Symptoms are:

    1) If I connect battery first and plug power adapter, the charger LED won't light up.
    2) If I plug power adapter first and then connect the battery, the charger LED light up, but it won't charge the battery, even though Windows says it's charging.

I have replaced BQ24725A twice and the problem still carries over.

I need help reading its datasheet, since I can't find the schematic for this motherboard.

what voltage you got on BQ24725A ?

    write the voltage on pins
Just cook it! It's already broken.

When I plug power adapter first and then connect battery (LED charger is amber):

      1) 18
      2) 18
      3) 19
      4) 19
      5) 3.3
      6) 2.7
      7) 0.369
      8) 3.3
      9) 3.3
      10) 1.5
      11) 10
      12) 10
      13) 10
      14) 0
      15) 0
      16) 6
      17) 10
      18) 10
      19) 10
      20) 19.25

But if I connect battery first and the plug the power adapter, all voltages fluctuate. (LED charger if off)

        SOLVED!

        Thanks to dycc: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showpo...41&postcount=9

Basically, I noticed PIN 3 and PIN 4 of BQ24725 had 19V (PIN4 must have 6V above PIN3), so I was checking all the mosfets and noticed one had a short, replaced it with a different model same channel (couldn't find same model) and it worked.

                    by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

Here is how this modification is going to be done I taking a 1.5 amp hour battery enclosure and gutting it removing the battery cells and replacing some Ryobi 1.5 amp hour battery pack that...

                    Hey All!

Long time forum member here with a problematic laptop issue!

I got a RZ09-0196 with a bloated battery (still worked and charged fine) I pulled the old cell pack out and installed a new cell pack in its place.

The laptop would not power on with the new battery installed without the power supply being plugged in.

When booting into Win10 (all up to date BTW) I saw the battery icon with 49% plugged in not charging.

TL;Dr version, old battery worked, charged but was bloated, installed a new non OEM replacement, laptop/windows...
