Hi all,
Bit out of the loop with laptop repairs now as I'm no longer an electronics tech.
Neighbour bought this Acer 5750 and brought it round to me to have a look at because the keyboard is knackered and the screen is also gone.
Quick check over it and I know I've seen this fault before; believe it was with a Sony Vaio FS series with the knackered GPU. This however is sporting Intel HD graphics and I've not seen anyone mention a 5750 GPU going bad yet.
Tried reseating the LVDS (at the screen end, haven't stripped it enough to get to the mobo end yet).
Image is fine via VGA to external.
Problem is present even before OS so not a driver issue. Can't enter BIOS screen due to keyboard. Whites are tinted blue, blacks are red and so on.
99% sure it's GPU, but could also be screen or LVDS. Thoughts?
