    MacBook Air M2 820-02536 trackpad not working

    Hi,

    I have this MacBook that I can not restore, because trackpad is not working. I have tried other topcases, trackpads, cables.... no success. I have replaced UT360 twice and UT320, no luck.

    Main power lines are present, but at:

    SPI_IPD_MOSI_CONN = 0V
    SPI_IPD_MCU_CS_CONN_L = 3.28V
    SPI_IPD_MISO_CONN = 0V
    IPD_SYS_AWAKE_CONN = 0V

    Maybe someone has better understanding of these circuits and can help. Thank you.

    SPI_IPD_MISO_CONN = 0V
    IPD_SYS_AWAKE_CONN = 0V
    SPI_IPD_MOSI_CONN - master out; slave in - no traffic from the bus master (logic board)
    SPI_IPD_MCU_CS_CONN_L - active LOW signal (denoted by the _L suffix) - since this is a logic '1' - the trackpad is not being selected

      Meaning? 🤔

      SPI_IPD_MOSI at UT360 is 0V, that comes from CPU.

        Confirm the power rails on this level shifter @ UT360.

        Any activity on the other signals on UT360 from the bus master?

        Does this unit power up otherwise?

          Yes, it does power up. No water damage.Keyboard works. Here are all values at UT360.
          • SPI_IPD_MCU_CS_L = 1,25V
          • SPI_IPD_CLK = 0V
          • SPI_IPD_MOSI = 0V
          • SPI_IPD_MISO_R = 0V
          • PP1V2S2 = 1,25V
          • SPI_IPD_MISO_CONN = 0V
          • SPI_IPD_MOSI_CONN_R = 0V
          • SPI_IPD_CLK_CONN_R = 0V
          • SPI_IPD_MCU_CS_CONN_L = 3.28V
          • PP3V3_S2SW_IPD = 3,28V

            MacBook Pro M4 Pro - no keyboard / trackpad / lid sensor
            by mitchw
            Hello
            I got this MacBook Pro M4 Pro to have a look at.
            It was tiny bit liquid damaged, just the edge of the board got 1 small 10x10 mm area wet. I've seen much worse that still worked fine to be honest.
            Since it was liquid damaged, warranty does not apply anymore.

            Anyways it was checked at an local Apple Store and they discovered that it needs new trackpad, new top case, etc. Also it needed a new lid angle sensor which they replaced.
            The main issue was that the screen remained black.

            Anyways I cleaned the liquid damaged area, put the machine back...

            [Macbook pro A1708] [Boot loop] [Trackpad ?]
            by No Lan
            Hey everyone,

            Usually, I'm not the type to ask for help, but this time, I'm calling on your wisdom and expertise I've seen what this community can do, so I'm pretty sure you guys can help me out.

            Here's the deal: I noticed my MacBook got stuck in a boot loop. After opening it up and doing some initial troubleshooting, I found that the boot loop stops only when the trackpad is unplugged.

            Now, just so you know, the trackpad actually works — I tested it with another motherboard and it's all good. Same for the cable, no issues there. The problem is only...

            MacBook Pro A2289 no signs of life except clicking trackpad and charging
            by Woodsworth
            Hi,

            I hope this is the correct place to post about this device. I originally posted regarding this on iFixit so see the details from that post below:

            "I'm hoping someone can give their opinion on the symptoms I'm seeing before I spend any more time and put money into this. I got this MacBook from a customer and after looking at it they decided they didn't want it.

            It doesn't turn on and there's no visual signs of life. I have tried resetting the NVRAM, SMC, power cycling, unplugging the battery, using the charger with the battery unplugged. Removed the...

            Macbook A2338 M2 (EMC 8162) keyboard not functioning, trackpad is working
            by Vliegenier04
            Hi! This Mac has been an headscratcher for me, I can't seem to figure out the issue. The Macbook has gotten water damage to the front of the keyboard connector and battery connector. The keyboard connector was dead, by which I mean it was completely corroded and I have replaced it with a brand new one.
            I have verified all the pins are connected to the main board and the main voltages (PP1V8_AONSW_KBD_ISNS and PP3V3_AON_KBD_CONN) are both present, with and without keyboard attached.

            Unfortunately, the keyboard does NOT want to work, caps lock LED not functioning as well as any...

            MacBook Pro A1989 trackpad and keyboard not working
            by biosdi
            Hi guys.
            I Just replaced battery on my MacBook Pro A1989. Unfortunately doing that, I’ve broken the trackpad flex cable (821-01701-a), and I’ve already ordered a spare one. At the same moment I’ve noticed that also the keyboard it’s not working anymore and I’ve found an SMD chip unsoldered and moving freely inside the backplate. I can read L20L on the chip. Is something could explain the keyboard not working or the keyboard doesn’t work due the unconnected trackpad?

            thanks...
