ASUS TUF Dash Motherboard FX516 REV 6.0 Model Device Not Charging
The device is not charging with the 19V 180W DC charger. If the battery is full, the laptop powers on normally. I can charge it via USB Type-C, but it’s very slow. I checked the schematics but couldn’t find a solution. I even replaced the BQ24800 battery charging IC, but the issue remains the same. I suspect a MOSFET or a fuse that I might be overlooking is preventing it from charging with the adapter. Has anyone experienced a similar fault before or has any advice?

Attach the power adapter. Measure the voltage to ground of:
ACDET
REGN
ACDRV -
See attached. Proceed only if your meter leads are fine tipped. Otherwise, the short circuit of the pins can be lethal to the board.
Black meter lead to ground. Red (fine tipped) lead to pin to test. Meter in 30V dc scale or higher.
If all is well, ACDRV should be ~25v. REGN should be ~6v. ACDET must be 2v4 or higher else the DCin mosfets will remain disabled.

Hi everyone,
I have been working on a no power issue with my personal ASUS gaming laptop. It went dead a few months ago.
Some history:
Since then, I've found a blown mosfet on the GPU line which I replaced. It started up without a battery, then when I added the battery back it wouldn't start up again.
As a result, there were some blown components around the BQ chip. (The BQ chip itself - BQ24780S, the low side battery mosfet (shorted), and a resistor -> all replaced)
Now, with a new battery the system will start up and run off... -
Hello I think I broke my motherboard when trying to upgrade the Ram!
I made some shortcut when pluggining the battery connector because the thiny metal goes over nearest components and made sparks.
The laptop won't poweron anymore so I need to check the motherboard to reveal if there is any shortcut.
Could be great if some of You can share boardview for my motherboard FX516PC r6.0

I have a Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 (G533QM) that had a dead motherboard (Graphics card dead) and after trying to fix the motherboard with no success, I bit the bullet on a sale for a new motherboard. I ordered a motherboard for the 15 inch model which is the one that I have, and when the motherboard arrived it wasn't for a little while that I saw it was from the 17 inch model.
My question is, can I update the Bios on this G733 motherboard to a G533 Bios.
