    r540 samsung

    good day guys... hope you could help... i got samsung r540 its power up but no diplay with the charger itself. but its work with battery alone. any idea what goes wrong.../

      what type of connector do you got?
      usually its cable or direct to motherboard.
      when its with cable you got no power to motherboard.
      Just cook it! It's already broken.

        I seem to recall that this model has a nec/tokin capacitor on the GPU, that may be the fault. Can you post some pictures of the mainboard? The capacitors will be on the back of the board (the side opposed to the CPU socket and GPU).

              thanks a lot guys...

              yes i tried new charger it does the same.

              here i attached some pic but it not so clear sorry for that.

              tokin ic i guess is has it its written 2R0 102 behind of cpu socket.

              so is that i really need to replace for now.

                  it looks way smaller with smaller pads ten usual toshiba big token. i dont think he can solder 4x330d on it

                        No, as they degrade quite a bit when being soldered thru normal methods. You'll have the same problem soon. Just use regular tantalum caps.
