Ethernet slot lights up steady on Acer aspire one

Good day everyone. Got a problem on this machine Acer aspire one d250-1151. As soon as I plug ac adapter ethernet slot lights up. Both orange and green are lit steady (no blinks). I also notice processor temp is getting high about 89c, 81c when motherboard is outside the case.

Although there are problems, the unit it running good. Does not freeze or shutdown. I'm just bothered about the temperatures as the plastic is really getting hot.

I would like to know if the ethernet port's unusual behavior might contribute to the high temp of the processor. Any inputs are appreciated. thanks

i presume the fan is running and the pads are o.k.

if it's the one i think it is, the cpu hardly gets warm, but the chipset cooks!
is it an atom cpu with a 965 chipset?

Sorry I forgot to mention, yes the fan is working. All clean and pads are ok. Still no reply from owner as to what happened to her unit. But I saw some corrosion on leftside of motherboard along vga and lan port. Maybe I'll try to change cpu fan.

left side is vulnerable to liquid spills on the keyboard.
i had one that was written off by that.

Owner confirmed that laptop got minor spill on left side part.

I've got schematics. On page 24 atheros ic, which pin is the supply voltage? are there any disadvantages besides not having Lan when I remove its supply? Cannot find datasheet of atheros ic if it has one.

i`ll suggest to take the port out !
and see what happens maybe maybe.
its easy then taking the lan chip. ofc maybe its not the lan chip that its making this trouble

that`s really sad!
its like when i bought the air station and soldering iron i destroy so many ports until i manage to understand how to take them out.
find now some crappy boards and take all the ports out without melting the plastic.
if you took out everything then you can take out that LAN port
take it like a homework

i think the aspire port is just a socket with a seperate pulse-transformer.
it's not a combined job.

btw, did you clean the board with IPA and a brush?

Good day. I have replaced the cpu fan but still laptop is getting hot. I haven't removed the lan port yet, owner does not care about it. I just want to cut the supply voltage to it to isolate if it is the cause of heat.

Could someone please help me identify which pin of atheros chip is the voltage in.

I have cleaned spilled part with 90% isoprophyl alcohol.

I think it will not power up!
because ... I think it got wake up on LAN and that must be a always voltage there.

1. remove port
2. remove lan chip
3. or cut supply voltage to lan chip

I want to rule out video chip for now as this laptop is still working fine.

I will say to remove lan port because you can put it back if he is not the one
