H ABBAS GOVANI YOU ARE RIGHT AT YOUR POINT
your charge is also ok and battery is also ok
your problem in charge detection circuit,

in dell laptop and charger there is third pin in adapter, which should work and this send a data to laptop through adaptor third pin that this is a genuine and matching rating adapter. if this signal not goes to laptop the adapter show in laptop but not charging, if you check the battery status in laptop this will show "adapter connected, but not charging"

it is belong to the center pin of your charger , trace the circuit of adapter power socket center pin circuit,

pl check PQ4004 AND PQ4003 AT ICREF PIN AT PU4001 (BQ24745)

i was facing this problem two times same as water spell NR adapter socket,

again you are right adapter connected but not charging this is common problem with dell laptops, these laptop not working with local or other adapter these working with there own adaptor and with same power rating like 65w and 95w

this board does not have bq24745.
      it has bq24707a

liquid spill was on crt card and daughter card only. center pin gives 2.8v. and laptop is in working condition too.

Re: dell n5110 no charger detect

The question is, which one of those 2 different voltages is right?
Because 1st indicates that charger is not detected & second that it's on protect mode...

              it is crt card problem
there should be 3.2v on center pin.

i replaced the crt card and it works fine.

I have same problem with N4110 center pin is pushing 3.2v to SIO but still not charging. I'll change SIO & see what happens.

remove battery when charger in and reinstall/remove/reinstall a few times the battery look at the charger indicator in windows ,could be just a duff battery.

                  sorry wrong post

search for ps_id......in any dell circuit.....there will be a circuit connected to the center pin of the female adpater connector maximun fault found was the ressistance value was not appropriate or it didnt ultimately connect to the ps_id in of i/o......good luck

                            To late.
                            any way.
the id pin (Central pin) in dell charger is different than hp & lenovo.
Not just enough voltage on this pin to go on charging process correctly.it's a digital bus called one wire circuit.
the only way to sea this data through Dso and read it through logic analyzer.
this data transfer from kbc and eeprom inside the charger and vice versa.
                            This is short.
This only The first step In the charging process

Hello, everyone!!! Happy New Year to all!!!

When I turn on the laptop, the warning appears: You have attached an undersized 0W adapter and blah, blah, blah... The bios says that the adapter is not connected and the battery status is excellent.

This laptop has all the voltages at the input, and the charger IC is also normal. There is 3.3V at the PS_ID and I have already tested it with another adapter, also original. The adapter detector also seems to work normally. I am suspecting the SIO. What do you think?

On my portable oscilloscope there is a PS_ID signal....

                              Hello,

                              Dell Latitude 5420 P137G
                              Board: LA-K491P REV A01

I have received this laptop which was described as "does not power on or accept charge." Battery shows no sign of charging when charger is plugged in, nor does the board show any signs of life when battery is unplugged and charger is plugged in. No light from the LED at all or any other indications of activity.

Board seems to have no shorts, all power rails are fine and show high resistance.

When charger is plugged in, voltage is present in 3.3V rail but absent in others....

Dell Inspiron 7567 LA-D993P odd charger issue
                              by Johndill
Hi, I have a Dell Inspiron 7567 LA-D993P that I've just got running.
There was corrosion around PU1503 which shorted PC1518 & blew PL1504. (Reference pictures attached)
I've replaced PC1518 & PL1504 & the laptop is now running however I now have another issue.

                              Here are the tested scenarios:

                              1. With the laptop running on battery, I plug in the 150W charger & the charger shuts off (no LED, protection mode) but the laptop remains running on battery.

                              2. With the laptop off, plug in charger (LED says on) & the front charging...

My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...
