    Dead Razer Blade 14 2022, shorted CPU?

    Hi,

    today I got Razer Blade 14, Ryzen 9 6900HX and RTX 3070Ti.

    Laptop was completely dead. I found shorted CPU VRM mosfet, shorted 19V mosfet and blown battery fuse.

    I replaced it all, but still on CPU coil where mosfet was shorted I got very low resistance, near 0 ohms. On other CPU coils I got around 3 ohms.

    Laptop now raises voltage on whole board, but still nothing comes on the screen. CPU gets 0.7V on all coils except the shorted one. CPU gets only slightly hot, below 40 C.

    I removed coil and injected 0.7V, it draw around 12A but still CPU wasn't getting very hot, maybe around 35 C. That's really strange if you ask me.

    As I don't have experience with Ryzen CPUs I just wanted to check with you guys is this CPU dead for good or I'm missing something? Is this coil used for something else or it's normal CPU phase? If it's normal CPU phase, why whole CPU isn't shorted?

      I picked up a Razer blade 14" (2022) from a friend who said it "overheated" and he replaced one of the fans. He gave up on it as windows wouldn't work/re-install. He gave it to me, and i've been working on getting linux on it. Installing Mint i was able to get about 1/4 through the installer before it froze. Now i can't even get the installer to boot. I am met with a kernel panic.... sometimes. Sometimes it just hangs on the boot sequence.

      I've run memtest quite a few times, and more often then not...

      Hi! I have a Razer Blade 15 2022, with a RTX 3060.

      One day, while using Linux, the internal display suddenly stopped working.

      On Windows, it says that the internal GPU has stopped working (with error code 43).

      I have tried removing the coin cell and the battery, and replacing the RAM, with no success on fixing anything.

      Hi folks,
      I want to solve a Razer Blade 14 (2022) RZ09-0427 with Ryzen 9 6900HX and RTX 3070Ti from scrap, and I need your help with the diagnosis.
      I have checked (I hope) all the voltage rails and found no shorts to GND and B+ except for the CPU VDDCR_SR rail (see the photo), which is near zero ohms to GND.
      When plugged to PS, the laptop charges the battery, and after pressing start, it supplies voltage to all voltage rails except for CPU VDDCR_SR one and, of course, the dGPU, nothing more.
      I have no experience in this type of repair, so please let me know if the low resistance...

      Hi guys, i just got a brand new razer blade 15 rz09-0409cec3 that turns on keyboard light, fans but no display at all. I managed to get bios bin file from razer but im not sure if this chip is THE bios chip. It is a Gigadevice 25q64cig (Uee704 Aj2103) or something like that.       I just recently purchased a RZ09-01652 Razer Blade 14 Touch v4(2016) as a project. I suspect the original motherboard had overheated and caused board damage to the vrm's for the CPU and GPU as now that motherboard works however will lockup on you often due to hardware clock issues.
      So after some research and looking at options for replacement motherboards I got a replacement RZ09-01952 razer blade 14 motherboard which has the 1060 vs the 970m that was in my original motherboard. I have contacted the seller about the motherboard being bad however I doubt they will be...
