    Hi Everyone,

Laptop powers on however blinking power light and caps lock and esc key lit.

I have tried a clean bios and also replace the bios chip and got same results.

When connecting to power supply it pulles nearly 1 amp steady, fan is spinning cpu getting worm no post

    Any advise ?

If there is no apparent corrosion or damage to the board, and your Vcore voltages are correct, I usually find this is bad CPU contact due to broken balls etc. I see this a lot on the flimsy lappies which allow the board to flex when you open the lid etc.

To confirm, try applying pressure to the CPU in different spots with the heatsink off while monitoring current when its beginning to boot. If you see variations up and down, rather than a static figure, then the board is probably booting (use a Chipmunk USB tester or similar is helpful to see if the port is being probed from a booted system). If you need to reball, I'm told the black glue that Lenovo uses makes these chips almost impossible to get off without destroying pads etc.

      Thanks for your answer
Will a re flaw work ?

Not sure if it has that black glue on the edges. I've never personally tried to remove it, but others say it's awful.
