I didn't. I confirm, F1 is blown in my board too. Thanks.

Re: Vaio VPCSB2M9E/PCG-41218M dead after drop

Your initial problem was that the charger wasn't sending ACOK signal to EC IC. Probably you created a short on the 19v line and blown the fuse.
The short is still there because you have a short on pins 19 and 20 of charger IC

The short on 19v line was coming from the main board, solved after replacing shorted capacitor. This is what probably has blown the fuse. I no longer have a short between pins 19 and 20 but ever since it occurred, I have sparks coming from image markings.

What do you mean with "image markings"?

If I understand correctly, sparks on pins 19,20 of charger and the 2 resistors. Can you post pictures from the top but clean thoroughly the area before doing that?

I have those pics in my earlier posts. Yup, you understood correctly.

I needed an new clean one to see the lines of the two resistors. Did you solder the charger ic with hot air or hot iron?

Hot air, I can't even imagine soldering such a tiny IC with a iron. Can't go back in time to get a clean photo, sorry. Don't feel bad atsio, I do assume I still make mistakes. In this case, I might have bitten more than I could chew soldering such a tiny IC in such a crowded board.

With all IC's, if I solder them by hot air, in the end I use the iron to be certain that the connections to the pads are solid

Dead Dell Latitude 5420 not receiving 20 volts from USB-C charger
                      by BTubbs200
                      Hello,

                      Dell Latitude 5420 P137G
                      Board: LA-K491P REV A01

I have received this laptop which was described as "does not power on or accept charge." Battery shows no sign of charging when charger is plugged in, nor does the board show any signs of life when battery is unplugged and charger is plugged in. No light from the LED at all or any other indications of activity.

Board seems to have no shorts, all power rails are fine and show high resistance.

When charger is plugged in, voltage is present in 3.3V rail but absent in others....

ASUS X54H laptop thinks it's always charging even with charger unplugged
                      by flat-earther
The charging indicator light on my ASUS X54H laptop is always on even when the charger is disconnected.

Windows also shows ''Plugged in'' when charger is not connected.

This problem started year ago gradually, when unplugging the charger the charging light took several seconds to disappear, then minutes, and now almost always on even when unplugged for an entire day.
Strangely, before sometimes immediately when plugging in the charger the charging light went away, and later came back with it connected.
If I let battery run out and say it has 3% Windows will...

how to prevent a connected charger from draining battery when not charging?
                      by flat-earther
I have an RC radio handset(Taranis QX7) which doesn't have internal battery charger which means I had to remove the battery every time I needed to charge it.
So to improve it, I added a 15W USB-C charger board(link) inside and soldered it to the same connector on the PCB where the battery plugs into, great, now I can simply charge it with a USB-C cable.

but the problem I found is that after the radio sat for two weeks without being used the 2S 18650 battery that I'm using was at 4.2V!
So the battery is backfeeding the charger and being drained.

                      How can I prevent...
